The Bold and the Beautiful
Liam and Brooke continue to know what anyone would if they really looked at Thomas, he’s bonkers. Both of them know Hope is vulnerable and Thomas is using her fragile mental state to his full advantage. #RIPEmma. In flashbacks, it was confirmed Thomas didn’t run Emma off the road. She was texting, distracted and driving. But we are still saying he contributed to her death. And he for sure didn’t let anyone know he was there at the scene. Xander and Flo don’t believe for one second that Thomas’ hands are clean. Now they might not be as dirty as those two suspects but they are hardly clean. Zoe is in la la land and has a hard time believing Thomas could be so sinister. Somebody bring her up to speed, please and thank you. Pam let it out that Thomas and Emma were arguing before she left Forrester. Thomas came up with some flimsy story. Brooke has told a flimsy story or two in her day and knows he’s full of it. You could see her mind working trying to connect the dots. She told hubby Ridge that his son needed counseling. Ridge and Zoe are in the oblivious club. The cast gathered for a memorial for Emma. The rest of the cast was there! They found them! LOL. The phone records showed Emma was trying to contact Hope and that she was on her way to see her just before she died.
Wyatt officially broke-up with Sally and asked Flo to move in with them. These Spencer men and their assembly line of women. Goodness. Sally told Wyatt one day you will realize what you lost. Tell ’em, Sally! LOL. Shauna told Flo she was leaving L.A. not to be a distraction about her being an accomplice to baby knapping. Well, Shauna didn’t say it like that. But we are. Thomas, Hope, Douglas, Liam, Steffy and the girls all hung out together. Couldn’t be me. But hey they are evolved. Thomas came prepared and was even more ready when he saw close moments between Lope. He drugged Liam’s drink. Bonkers. Bonkers. Thomas is bonkers.
The Young and the Restless
Devon who never spent one minute in medical school just stopped taking his medication, hence his panic attack. We got nothing on that one. Elena told Devon there were three people in their relationship because he wasn’t ready to move on from Hillary. They had moved too fast too soon. Ana and Nate staged an impromptu intervention. Devon admitted and realized he needed to fully let Hillary go and move on. Abby threw Lola her bridal shower. Momma Rosales, Celeste, made her debut. Hey Eva! Cane kissed Traci, in color i.e. not the retro storyline like for real in the reel. Phyllis thinks Adam kidnapped her. She sort of blackmailed him into putting her in charge of Dark Horse with the information she knows about Adam and Chance. Victor agreed to an experimental treatment, despite the harrowing possible side effects, when the treatment he was undergoing plateaued and didn’t have the effect they were hoping for.
Kevin found pay dirt, the video of Nick in “JT drag”, the mask, to help Adam get custody of Christian. Michael asked Kevin to stall from giving the info to Adam until Michael could come up with a plan to neutralize him. But Adam was able to read Kevin and knew that he had found something. We are calling plot point on this one because historically Kevin was a pretty good liar. Anyway, Adam with his ace in the hole, Chloe made Kevin fess up. But Kevin did make sure Adam freed Chloe first. Now that’s Kevin. Chloe and Adam shared some great scenes as Chloe told him her momma heart still ached for the daughter he took from her and it still ached to kill him for it. Adam told Chloe this had to stop or one of them would end up dead. And neither scenario would be good for Bella. He told her to go home and let it go. Esther found out Chloe was alive! Sniff. Sniff. So nice! Before Chloe left she asked Billy to meet her. A floored Billy quickly surmised that it was Chloe who had shot Adam. Chloe figured out Kevin had traded her freedom for his and asked Billy to keep an eye on him for her. Adam confronted Nick with the mask video and they were about to come to blows when Friday cliffhanger, Chelsea’s back. Chelsea couldn’t you have waited a little bit longer before barging in. We wanted to see the fight! LOL.

Days of Our Lives
It only took five minutes for Sami to know that something isn’t right with NotNicole. Too bad she’s leaving. We would have loved to see Kami hook up and figure it all out. Sami vs. NotNicole was about what you would expect, awesome. Lucas and Brady had to separate them. Yes! Xander insisted he hasn’t gone soft but it sure looks that way. He was supposed to kill Ted and Kate but they are both still alive. Kate went snooping in and around NotNicole’s room (twice). She should have quit while she was ahead. She ended up with a good whack on the back of her head just like Ted. She woke up in the DiMera tunnels with a not so dead Ted. Ted started filling in the gaps and Kate was getting very close to figuring it all out. Looked like Jack is interested in getting his memories back. Kayla told him it was too risky for her to administer the drug to him. She’d only administered the antidote to Will because his life was on the line. She told Jack to ask Will about the diary. Will told Jack, “You can have the diary if the Price is Right, JJ’s freedom.” Jack freed JJ and Haley came back. We are wondering if Jack had his hand in that too?
Rex and Sarah were married with Eric as the officiant. Moving on. Xander wasn’t happy to hear Sarah had gotten hitched. But he still gave her the expensive necklace Ted gave Xander hoping Hope would see it and figure out something was wrong. Yep, she did. Stay tuned. Mission trap Claire was in full effect. Claire caught Tripp and Ciara in a faux comprising position. And Claire almost gave herself away. But Eve warned her via text that her auntie, Tripp, and Ben might be on to her. So what did Claire do? Bolt? Get the heck on out of dodge? No indeed. She gave herself away. She flipped Tripp over and put a knife to his throat. They went to commercial and when they returned Ben and Marlena walked in the loft…mouths opened at what they saw.
General Hospital
Dev is making Port Charles his home as Sonny’s play cousin. Lulu offered the Haunted Star for Friz’s post-marriage reception. Curtis is in full duplicitous mode trying to get the low down on Jax. Bobbie was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Very important side note; let us all get regular check-ups and take care of ourselves! Kim was still seeing Oscar. Last week she decided it was Drew, not Julian, she wants to procreate with. She also unknowingly planted the seed to Shiloh that Wiley could be his son which we all know he isn’t. Brad was having panic attacks as the walls are closing in on him.
Willow was in contempt of court (she finally showed up) because she was trying to prevent Diane to be held in contempt of court so she ranted that yes she had a baby by Shiloh. But it would be a cold day in you know where before she told him anything. She refused to answer the Judge’s questions so off to jail, she went. Michael told Willow she didn’t “kill” her daddy by him overdosing. It was Shiloh who killed her father. Her father wanted Willow out of DOD and Shiloh wouldn’t give her up. You sure can always get a lot of visitors in the PC jail. Michael went to Beecher’s Corners and found day player, Carol, who took the fall for Shiloh and can tell it all about what really happened with Willow’s dad. Jason and Michael were in jail in Beecher’s Corners but managed to get out. Carson’s baby was diagnosed with spinal spifida.
As we know Victor has a rare blood disease that could be fatal and has been undergoing treatment. It was his latest brush with mortality that was the driving force behind Victor pushing to bring Adam home and reunite his family. Let’s just say that hasn’t exactly panned out. Adam has taken Dark Horse from Nick and is now trying to take Christian. Victor made amends with Nick. We teared up watching the scenes between the two. Victor acknowledged his shortcomings as a father and he apologized! We saw Victor lament over the decision if to try the experimental drug (current treatment plateaued) because of the possible side effect of diminished mental capacity. For someone like Victor, just the thought out it is unfathomable. Later on, in the week, Victor and Adam traded a couple of barbs and then Victor cracked Adam’s face by letting him know he knew about Chance. Did you see Victor laughing mockingly at Adam? Oh yes, Adam you still have a lot to learn. Eric has been doing such fantastic work with this storyline. Eric gave us a reflective, apologetic, emotional, resigned Victor in his scenes with Nick and then when Victor agreed to take the experimental drug. We got fighter Victor when he was jabbing at the boxing bag and verbally with Adam. He held onto that persona just until Adam left and the sickness took over and Victor became disoriented. Eric packed in a lot in those few minutes of tape. We always enjoy it when we get to see Victor’s softer side. Eric is skillfully taking us through each emotion that Victor is experiencing fear, hope, concern for his family, making sure Newman will be taken care of, etc. Eric is giving us an uncharacteristically uncertain Victor. Yet still strong, still powerful, still Victor Newman. Well done, sir!
Our Honorable Mention of the Week is Matthew Atkinson! (Thomas, The Bold and the Beautiful) Creppy never looked so good! It could be easy to get caught up in “soap hating” Thomas that you overlook the terrific job Matthew is doing. Not us. Thomas has seamlessly made the jump from creepy to full-blown psycho. And we are loving it. Matthew’s dark, sinister, stoic, always lurking around in the shadows, Thomas, is creepy in the best way possible! His menacing gaze is cra-cra good. He goes from cra-cra, to threatening, to “somewhat” normal in the blink of a soap eye. LOL. He was very busy last week. He had to make sure Emma was dead dead and not soap dead. He had to threaten the Three Amigos for the millionth time to keep their traps shut. He had to score drugs to help Steam get steamy to keep Hope in his grasp. Matthew was walking that tightrope of having to act like Thomas isn’t crazy in scenes with certain characters while at the same time appear crazy to the audience. A daunting task, that Matthew pulls off with ease. We are watching just waiting to see what Thomas and his menacing gaze will do next. Outstanding job, Matthew!
