The role of Summer Newman on ‘The Young and the Restless’ is reportedly being recast. With ‘Y&R’ seeking an actress to fill the spot of a familiar character to viewers, it is widely speculated that the role could be that of Summer last played by Hunter King in 2016. King is currently busy working as a series regular on ‘Life In Pieces’. We asked fans who would they like to see play the role and here are the suggestions that fans gave
Kristen Alderson:
Alderson previously played Starr Manning on ‘One Life to Live’ and ‘General Hospital’ as well as Kiki Jerome on ‘General Hospital’. It is said that Alderson had changed her career path by heading into the realtor field. Alderson, however, wouldn’t mind playing the role.
Brooke Newton
Brooke, an actress who sizzled as Colby Chandler on the Prospect Park reboot of ‘All My Children’ would also be a great fit. She will absolutely sizzle in this role if she’s cast to play alongside Gina Tognoni (Phyllis).
Lexi Ainsworth
Many daytime viewers would rather see Lexi Ainsworth reprise her role as Kristina Corinthos on ‘General Hospital’. But, would absolutely welcome the idea of Ainsworth playing a recast Summer on ‘Y&R’ if she’s not returning to ‘GH’.
Natalie Hall
Hall also played the role of Colby Chandler but this time while ‘All My Children’ ran on ABC. Hall would be an absolute great addition and great recast should this casting idea happen.
So, fans who would you like to see recast as Summer Newman on ‘Y&R’?
