Ron Carlivati is leaving Days of our Lives and his post as head writer after his seven-year tenure as reported by Deadline.

Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford are set to take over his position immediately, with episodes penned by Carlivati scheduled to air through April 2025 due to the show’s unique tape-to-air schedule.

Cwikly brings with her extensive experience in daytime television, having previously written for The Young and The Restless, As The World Turns, and Sunset Beach. She has previously worked with Days of our Lives as both an associate and head writer in the early 2000s. On the other hand, Ford, currently a breakdown writer for the show, has a long-standing history with Days, beginning as a writer’s assistant in 1992. She has also contributed to the writing of As The World Turns and One Life To Live.

Ron Carlivati had tenures writing for One Life to Live as well as General Hospital.

    1. I hate that we have to wait until next year to see different stories line. I am glad that Ron is out, but I wished that he was fired first.
