Frank Valentini Explains Ryan Paevey’s Exit

In an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed that Paevey’s return was never meant to be permanent. “Ryan’s return was always planned as a short-term arc. He did incredible work, and we loved having him back.”

Ryan Paevey returned to General Hospital on September 19, 2025, initially appearing as a seemingly resurrected Nathan West. It was later revealed on March 31, 2026, that he was actually playing Nathan’s identical twin, Cassius Faison. 1. FV is a fool if he doesn’t offer him full time.

  2. Will miss Cassius. Hope Ryan decides to come back again and resurrect the character.

  3. Very much enjoyed Ryan Paevey’s return to GH. Wish he would stay longer but even short arcs are better than losing him completely. Glad the writers are leaving the door open to his return. I hope it is soon and often. Looking forward to Steve Burtons return and the further development of the Emma/Gio segments. Now if they would just end the Drillow storyline and move on to something that is not a re-hash of old and done, would be a great improvement
