Soaps have been such an escape for many of us over the years. We love the drama, the cliffhangers, the twists and turns, the romance, the love triangles, the long-lost child reveals, you name it. And we get so attached to these characters that when they’re gone, it really does feel like missing a friend or even family. You know what I mean?
So we recently asked fans to vote on which soap character they want back ASAP, and the results are in.
Fans Pick the Soap Characters They Miss the Most
Coming in first place with 22.47% of the votes was none other than Wyatt Spencer from The Bold and the Beautiful. Introduced in 2013, Wyatt was revealed as the previously unknown eldest son of Bill Spencer Jr. and Quinn Fuller.
Through the years, Wyatt was involved in plenty of drama, from clashing with his brother Liam to navigating messy love triangles and business chaos. The character, played by Darin Brooks, exited the show in January 2024, and fans have clearly been missing him ever since. After all, he took the top spot in this poll.
Coming in a very close second is Summer Newman from The Young and the Restless with 22.42% of the vote. Summer first appeared on December 19, 2006, and has been played by several actresses over the years, most recently Allison Lanier from 2022 to 2025.
She’s definitely been missed since her exit and has still been mentioned on the show. In recent episodes, her aunt Victoria Newman even headed to Milan to talk with her. Could that be a hint at a return? Even if it’s with a recast, fans seem ready. What do you think?
Other Fan Favorites That Need a Comeback
In third place is Dillon Quartermaine from General Hospital, pulling in 19.46% of the votes. Like Summer, Dillon has been played by multiple actors, most recently Robert Palmer Watkins from 2015 to 2017. He hasn’t been seen since and is rarely even mentioned these days. Is it finally time for him to come home?
Next up is Chloe Lane from Days of Our Lives with 11.58% of the votes. Unlike some others on this list, Chloe has been played consistently by Nadia Bjorlin since her debut.
She first arrived in Salem back in 1999 after spending years in an orphanage, and since then, she’s been at the center of plenty of romance, family drama, and everything in between. She hasn’t been on canvas since 2023, which feels like a long time. Isn’t it time for her to come home? Her sister Joy is coming back to Salem in April, so we hope Chloe is not far behind.
Meanwhile, in fifth place is Doug McBride from Beyond the Gates with 8.98% of the vote. Played by Jason Graham, the character debuted with the show in February 2025 but was killed off in less than a year. Doug became its first major death. Fans barely got a chance to see his full story, especially when it came to his kids, so it’s no surprise viewers want him back.
Rounding out the poll were Olivia Winters (Y&R), Max Brady (DAYS), Sarah Webber (GH), and Justin Barber (B&B).
