This week, on February 3, 2025, Jermaine Rivers burst onto the scene, making his soap opera debut as the real Damian Kane on The Young and the Restless. In a stunning plot twist, Rivers’ Damian met up in the park with Nathan Owens’ character, whom we initially thought was Damian but instead turned out to be Holden Novak—surprise!
Soap fans were buzzing about this move, and we must say, this twist deserves a standing ovation; let’s give a round of applause to the masterminds behind it.
Now, we’ve got the important task of grading Rivers’ performance in his new CBS daytime gig thus far, and spoiler alert: the man is a natural! He even has a little resemblance to his half-brother Nate Hastings and his biological dad Nathan Hastings Sr. (or so Amy Lewis claims). So, for our soap grade, we’re handing Rivers an A+—not just because we’re generous, but because we’re thrilled about this casting and can’t wait to see what’s ahead! Now, what grade would you give him? (Photo: JPI.)
