When we heard Steve Burton was returning to ‘General Hospital’, we wondered just how will the show pull off this stunt. But, clearly, it has been one of the best and most intriguing stories in daytime in recent times. No doubt, while ‘Y&R’ fans may be dismayed that he’s no longer a part of the cast, ‘GH’ fans are thrilled to have this talented man who spent about 2 decades in the role of Jason Morgan back on the show.

In a recent interview with Michael Fairman, Burton spoke about his contract status and much more. Burton took the time to clarify that he signed a 3-year contract with the soap. I signed a 3-year contract.  So, I am here for 3 years.   I would like to be here longer, but obviously you go year by year, but I have no intentions of it being short term,” Burton shared.
