General Hospital star Tabyana Ali is known for lighting up screens as Trina Robinson, but now she’s stepping into a brand-new spotlight — behind the camera. The actress recently shared a heartfelt behind-the-scenes update from her very first short film, titled “Philophobia”, and we — and fans alike — are already eager to see what’s coming.
Tabyana Ali Announces New Film
Taking to Instagram with a reel highlighting some of the BTS moments, Ali captioned:
“Behind the scenes of my very first short film! I’m so excited to share more with you soon.
But I will say I feel beyond blessed to have had the most heart-aligned crew by my side everything truly came together exactly as it was meant to. They saw the vision and helped bring it to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
I’ve said thank you a million times in private, but here’s my million in public. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.”.
“Philophobia” was written by General Hospital star Tabyana Ali, who also holds co-director credits alongside Sanefer Milling. This is her first short film, and from everything she’s shared so far, it sounds like a real passion project.

And if you take a close look at the behind-the-scenes footage, you might spot a familiar face. It looks like Donnell Turner, who plays her on-screen dad, Curtis Ashford, on GH, may have been involved in the project. Could he be playing a role? We’ll have to wait and see.

The celebration didn’t stop at the set. As Tabyana shared the news on Instagram, her General Hospital family jumped into the comments to show their love.
