Jack Finnegan returned to Los Angeles this week on The Bold and the Beautiful, hoping to repair his fractured family. However, in an interview with TV Insider, Ted King, who plays Jack, reveals that his past infidelity may have destroyed that chance. King teases that while Jack is desperate to hear the words I forgive you from his wife, Li, what he actually hears is a shocking accusation: that he might be Luna Nozawa’s real father. The bombshell accusation stems from an alleged affair with Li’s sister, Poppy.
This isn’t the first time Jack and Li have faced earth-shattering family revelations. When the couple first appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, visiting Finn and Steffy, it was revealed that Finn was the product of an affair between Jack and the infamous Sheila Carter. Jack’s guilt over his past with Sheila—and his decision to help Sheila get closer to Finn despite everyone’s wishes—eventually drove him out of Los Angeles.

Now, with the surfacing of new secrets, Li is determined to uncover the truth about Luna’s paternity. King reveals that Li’s resolve knows no bounds: “She literally stabs Jack to draw his blood,” he says. Despite the intensity of the situation, King defends his character, noting, just because Jack cheated once doesn’t mean he did it again.
King also hints that fans will finally learn the truth about what happened when Poppy, Li’s sister, lived with them, adding that the entire storyline is nothing short of “intense.” He praises his co-star Naomi Matsuda for her work in these emotionally charged scenes, which even include physical confrontations.
“This storyline is incredible because of all the duplicity and the endless possibilities it creates,” King says. The truth about Luna’s paternity is set to be revealed this Friday.
