The Young and the Restless actress, Kate Linder (Esther Valentine) has joined two new series. The first is a series called Aunt Cissy and is produced by Scott Travis and Travis Hunt Productions. It is written by Michael Vaccaro and directed by William Clift.

The lovely Kathy Garver leads the series as the iconic “Cissy” and she’s got brand new adventures. “Cissy,” the most beautiful teen on TV in the ’60s and ’70s, is back, and she’s better than ever! Living in Los Angeles now with her boyfriend, Robert(film star Keith Coogan), Cissy is about to embark on a brand new adventure, when who should show up at her door needing her help but her niece and nephew, Madison and Miles.

Days of Our Lives alum Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy Wesley) also played Shirley Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful also stars in the series.

The second is an upcoming digital series called The Salon which began filming this month. Messina Captor Films (MessinaCaptorFilms.com) proudly announces the commencement of production for their newest project – “The Salon”- a six-part digital dramedy series.

The Salon is a sequel to the award-winning short -film, “A Couple of White Chicks at the Hairdresser”. After being reintroduced to audiences during 2019, Writer and Director Roxanne Messina Captor decided to continue the arc of the story but adapted this new project to a digital series format to address the audience’s preferences of 2020.

Messina Captor Films Inc. began to film mid- October 2019 with a studio secured in Culver City. The cast includes Harry Shearer (reprising his role), Kate Linder, Luis Jose Lopez, Emily Peachey, Mason Grammer, Eddie Buck, Elena Campbell Martinez, Candy Washington, Nikki Soo-Hoo, Akende Munalula, Derek Warburton, and Sam Rubin (guest cameo).
