Steffy Shocks Carter
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is facing some life-changing news that could make her already complicated situation with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) even messier. The two have been trying to put what happened between them behind them, but Steffy’s pregnancy makes that nearly impossible.
After having sex in the office at the company, as far as they remember, Steffy and Carter have been living with the fear of what would happen if their secret ever came to light. They thought they could move on, act like nothing happened, and eventually leave it all in the past.
That plan clearly isn’t working. Steffy now has a huge decision to make.
With the pregnancy changing everything, she may feel that there is no point in continuing to hide what happened with Carter. As far as Steffy sees it, she and Carter need a solution, and telling her husband the truth could be the only honest way out of this mess.
Of course, telling Finn (Tanner Novlan) would not be easy.
Steffy knows exactly what it could do to her marriage. She also knows that once she tells Finn, there is no taking those words back.
Still, she may be reaching the point where keeping the secret feels worse than facing the consequences.
Carter Has Plenty to Lose
Carter, on the other hand, has every reason to be worried.
He isn’t just thinking about what a confession would do to Steffy’s marriage. His own relationship could be affected, and then there is his friendship with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye).
If Ridge learns what happened between Carter and Steffy, there is no telling what that could do to their friendship.
That is why Carter may not be completely on board with Steffy’s idea to confess.
He may believe there has to be another way to deal with the situation without blowing up everyone’s lives.
The problem is that Steffy may no longer be willing to keep running from the truth.
Finn Has No Idea What’s Coming
Meanwhile, B&B spoilers for September 14 have Finn reaffirming to Li that his family always comes first.
There is something almost painful about Finn making that declaration while being completely unaware of the storm brewing around his marriage.
As far as Finn is concerned, the major threat to his family is Sheila Carter.
But even that situation has changed.
Finn has blocked Sheila and made it abundantly clear that she is not welcome in his life, Steffy’s life or their child’s life. He believes he has drawn the line and done what he needs to do to protect his family.
Good for him.
He wants Sheila out, and he is standing by his decision.
Finn makes it clear to Li (Naomi Matsuda) that he means what he says: family comes first.
The irony is that his family may soon be tested by something he doesn’t even know exists.
