In December 2020, Emmy award-winning actress, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless) with the support of some of her castmate and production crew members bought out a local Big Lots toy section to ensure that hundreds of children received gifts this past holiday season. The NAACP Inglewood/South Bay worked with community organizations to ensure that the gifts were distributed. In light of this, Stafford was honored by Fred Shaw, the NAACO and National Action Network. She shared, “this is a HUGE honor for me and everyone at #YR Thank you Fred Shaw and the @NAACP and the @NationalAction This is just the beginning“. See the video below!
