Today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Eric holds the line, telling Ridge that he needs to decide between Brooke and Taylor; fashion implodes in Italy.

B&B Recap July 29: Arriving In Italy

Ridge, Eric, and Brooke drive through Italy, completely taken in by its beauty. The stunning scenery leaves them wide-eyed with wonder.

When they arrive, a cheerful crowd welcomes them with excitement. Eric smiles, soaking in the energy, and announces that this is going to be wonderful. He’s feeling the moment and is ready for the magic to begin. He toasts to a great time in Naples.

Brooke, mingling with the locals, mentions that they have a collaboration coming up with Luisa Beccaria, clearly excited about what’s ahead.

Nick Has Big Plans

Nick has just gotten to Italy himself, and he’s not here just for sightseeing. He’s got plans, and step one is getting the boat ready. As he oversees the preparations, he pulls out a ring box from his bag, holding it like it holds the future. He’s planning to propose to Brooke. He’s also been thinking about taking her through the famous tunnel of love. With everything coming together, Nick watches the trio from a distance and smirks, saying it’s time for the fun to begin.

Later on, Brooke finds herself standing alone by the ocean, watching boats drift across the sparkling water. Just as she’s lost in thought, someone sneaks up behind her and greets her with a playful ciao bella. She turns, surprised and smiling. It’s Nick. His arrival instantly brightens her face. Later they share a kiss as Eric looks on.

Taylor and Donna Chat

Back home, Taylor tells Donna she got a text from Ridge saying they’ve just arrived in Italy. Donna admits she already misses her honeybear. Taylor chuckles and reminds her it hasn’t even been a full day yet, though she admits she misses Ridge too.

The two women look at photos, talking about how they should have tagged along and already making plans to join next time. Taylor brings up the idea of Nick showing up in Italy, and the memory of Nick and Brooke getting married alone on a boat years ago resurfaces. She wonders aloud if history might repeat itself.

Donna isn’t buying it. She says there’s only one man who truly makes her sister happy, and that’s Ridge. But Taylor isn’t so sure. She believes Nick would go to the ends of the earth for Brooke. In fact, she even gave Brooke a little reminder before the trip that Ridge is already engaged. Maybe it’s finally time for Brooke to move on.

B&B Recap July 29: LI Takes a Break from Work

Meanwhile, at the office, Finn sees his mother, Li, walking past with a box in her hands. He stops her and asks what’s going on. Li tells him she’s taking a leave of absence, much to his surprise. She says she’s tired and just needs a break.

Finn offers to help her pack up her office, but she insists she can handle it. Still, Finn is skeptical. This isn’t like her at all, and he begins to question her motives. Li brushes it off and points out that Steffy left town to take a break, too, so maybe it’s just a good time for everyone to step back.

Finn, still unsettled, mentions that his wife’s life was almost destroyed if Luna had gotten her way. He asks how long Li will be gone, noting that she never takes vacations. She tells him she’ll be away as long as she needs, and maybe even read a book for once. He laughs at the idea. When he asks where she’s going, she pauses for a second and says she’ll be in touch. There’s something she needs to take care of. Something she should have done a long time ago.

Luna Is Alive

Li enters a room and unloads the item from her box. It’s all medical stuff, and then she moves over to bed and machines that someone is hooked up to. It’s none other than Luna. She is alive.

One response to “Today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Luna Is Alive”

  1. Either the writers get new material or this soap needs to end before no dignity is left. Started watching in 1987. The “destiny” story with Brooke and Ridge is old. Tired of seeing the part of Taylor always hurt and second choice. Turned Eric’s character from charming and respectable to unrespected the way he is pushing “destiny” despite the fact he has children with Brooke. Now the topper, if Li has Luna somewhere mending her to health, ENOUGH! These storylines are predictable and like a stuck tape as it would have been called in the ‘80s! Time to retire the tape!
