1. Maura West – Ava Jerome, GH
Is there anything that Maura West can’t do? Absolutely not! This stalwart continues to shine in the genre as she always does since her days as Carly Tenney on As the World Turns. It’s no wonder why she already has 3 Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series. In 2019, her character Ava Jerome mainly death with the aftermath of her daughter’s death and the fallout within the Ryan/Kevin storyline. West was even awarded the performer of the week for Soap Opera News several times this year. It was another year of Gold performances and we’re pretty sure she will be nominated again and quite possibly take home another Daytime Emmy Award. What do you think?
