Here Comes the Bride and Here Comes Nina and Gina! Fans of legal eagle Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and rock star Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) are celebrating the upcoming on-screen nuptials of their ship on The Young and the Restless. And now there is even more reason to celebrate. As reported exclusively by Soap Opera Digest, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), bestie of the bride, and Gina Romalotti (Patty Weaver), sister of the groom, will be in attendance when the couple ties the knot! Cast and Weaver are reportedly currently on set, taping the wedding episodes that are set to air this November.

Unfortunately, it won’t be all smiles and cheer for Nina. This will be her first visit back to Genoa City since her son, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), was tragically murdered by Carter (Vincent Stalba) in France this past summer. Chance was shot, saving Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) life when Carter had a gun pointed at Cane’s head. Knowing Nina the way we do, even in her grief, she will have plenty to say to Cane when she sees him.
Cast joined The Young and the Restless in 1986 and exited the canvas in 2001. Since then, she has visited on and off again several times, and we are always happy to see Cast and Nina.
Weaver debuted in Genoa City in 1982 and left in 2009. She has made a few visits back, the most recent in March 2023 for the sudser’s golden anniversary. Glad to hear she is dropping in.
Soap weddings are a staple in the genre, and like in real life, there are joyous occasions and an opportunity for family and friends to travel and be a part of the merriment. So, in advance, we say, “Welcome home, Nina and Gina!”
