We’re back with another Soap Grade, and this time, all eyes are on Days of Our Lives’ newest face: Tyler Joseph Andrews, who just made his debut as the new Theo Carver.

Andrews stepped into the role on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. While stepping into some pretty big shoes as a legacy character, he made his debut, appearing in the final moments of the episode. Let’s talk about how he did.

Tyler Josephs Andrews Days Debut

It all started when Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) opened the doors of the DiMera mansion to welcome Theo back to Salem. As revealed, Tony had flown him in on the DiMera jet with one mission in mind: convince Theo to join the family business. And just like that, a new chapter for Theo began.

Meanwhile, the next episode gave us the emotional reunion fans were waiting for: Theo reconnecting with his father, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and stepmother, Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry). It was heartfelt, familiar, and filled with that warm, nostalgic energy longtime viewers know and love.

So, how did Tyler Joseph Andrews hold up in a legacy role like this?

Honestly? He did really well. While he’s clearly still settling into the rhythm of daytime, there’s something natural about his presence. He brings a grounded, emotionally aware version of Theo to the screen. There’s a quiet confidence in his delivery, and he feels believable in the part.

So, with that said, for his debut performance as Theo Carver, we’re giving Tyler Joseph Andrews an A. He’s off to a solid start, and we’re excited to see where he takes the character next.
