Soap veteran Vincent Irizarry is mourning the loss of his mother, Carmella “Millie” Irizarry, who died on April 5.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Vincent shared a screengrab of an announcement that stated, “Yesterday morning, our beautiful mother passed away with her family surrounding her.” He expressed heartfelt gratitude for everyone’s prayers, love, and support while adding, “We are blessed for the gift she was to us.”
According to her obituary, “Millie was an extremely proud and loving mother of her six children, Frankie, Tracy, Vince, Michael, Tina, and Audra, whom she loved unconditionally with no limits, which was extended lovingly to their spouses, Linda, Peter, Donna, Ken, and Alec. ”
Carmella “Millie” Irizarry (nee Russo) was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan on September 1, 1937. There, at the age of 9, she met the boy who would eventually become her husband of 70 years, Frank Irizarry. Their remarkable journey as husband and wife began on March 4, 1955.
