A wedding disguised as an engagement party? Kate Mansi (Kristina, General Hospital) pulled it off in style. Kate Mansi, 37, and her producer husband Matt McInnis, 41, gave the phrase “plot twist” a whole new meaning when they surprised 115 unsuspecting guests with a wedding cleverly disguised as an engagement party. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, May 31, at the stylish Los Angeles venue Redbird, with planning by Carly Rae Weddings, according to PEOPLE.

Mansi has since shared a heartwarming video from the big day, capturing key moments, which she fittingly captioned: “The surprise wedding of our dreams.” Fans and friends flooded the comments, including her on-screen mom Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), who wrote:
“Watching my sweet cookie pie and Canadian catch, Matt, recognize their best selves in each other was a thing to behold. Truest of true, these two—just like their love story.”

A Star-Studded Surprise Wedding for Kate Mansi

The celebration was star-studded with several of Mansi’s acting colleagues in attendance, including Alley Mills (Heather, GH), Shelley Hennig (ex-Stephanie, Days of our Lives), and Giovanni Mazza (Gio, GH)—who played a stunning original violin arrangement of Taylor Swift’s “Lover” as Mansi walked down the aisle. Swoon.
