General Hospital alum, Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter August) is celebrating his birthday today.
Wesley Albert Ramsey was born on October 6, 1977, in Louisville, KY as the middle of three boys. He discovered his passion for the theater at the age of 12 during a three-week summer class at Walden Theater in his hometown. He quickly enrolled full-time in the fall where he remained for the next seven years, taking classes and performing. In 1996, Wes was accepted into the 29th group of the drama division at the Juilliard School in New York City. He graduated with a BFA in 2000.
Shortly after which, Wes joined Guiding Light where he remained for two years. In 2002, Wes left NY for Los Angeles.
Wes’ amazing television credits include series regular roles on; Days of Our Lives, The Playboy Club, Luis, and more. He also held recurring and guest-starring roles on; Charmed, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, The Mentalist, Pretty Little Liars and more.
Wes is an artist. He has spent his life as a poetic dreamer & passionate storyteller.
An actor & poet since childhood, he has spent his life believing that creativity is the salve that can heal the broken & inspire belief in the nonlinear spaces of energy on earth. He is drawn to all we can learn about the human spirit from within ourselves & each other.
An avid lover of nature, Wes believes in the calming transcendence of the wilderness & the innate compassionate truth of the human heart. His life’s mission is to speak the truth in art & inspire others to dream fearlessly.
