The news fans have been waiting for is finally official. Wes Ramsey is returning to Days of Our Lives as Owen Kent, and now we know exactly when it happens.
Mark your calendars for February 27. That is the day Ramsey makes his first appearance on the show in sixteen years, according to Tv Guide magazine.
Ramsey filmed the episodes last summer, but now that the airdate is locked in, the countdown can officially begin.
Being asked to reprise a role after such a long time is no small thing. Ramsey has called it a “great gift,” seeing the return as a true compliment to the work he did years ago.
Revisiting Owen Kent after more than a decade could have felt overwhelming, but Ramsey shared that reconnecting with the character came naturally. He describes Owen as someone who “desperately wants to love and be loved,” a motivation that still rings true all these years later.
After playing the morally complex Peter August on General Hospital, Ramsey is used to layered characters with a darker side. He has also teased that this new material is “fun and wild,” which should have fans even more curious about what brings Owen back to Salem.

Walking back onto the Days of Our Lives set felt surreal. Ramsey once shared a memory that really puts the sixteen-year gap into perspective. He remembered standing outside his dressing room while Alison Sweeney explained a brand new idea to a group of people. It was called a “tweet.”
