It’s giving; we might be able to put a face with the name… allegedly, as Deadline is reporting that CBS’s Daytime drama, Young and the Restless, has cast hunky soap vet Nathan Owens in a mysterious role. Many will recognize Owens from Days of Our Lives, where he played Cameron Davis. Owens also appeared on Devious Maids, Batwoman, and 911: Lonestar.

Fans are speculating that Owens will be playing the role of Damian, Nate Hasting’s long-lost older brother. The storyline around this character is already juicy and has been building for several weeks. Damian was first mentioned a few weeks ago, when Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) returned to Genoa City to inform Nate that he had a long-lost brother and she needed his help finding him. Amy Lewis appeared in the 80s into the early 90s, working Detective Paul Williams and Nathan Hasting.

Amy left Genoa City in 1990 and apparently left with a big secret. She was carrying Nathan Hasting’s child. She revealed to Nate that she had the baby and passed it off as the child of her current husband. However, now that Amy is ill and expected to die soon, she wants to find Damian and tell him the truth. Nate has agreed to help carry out Amy’s last wishes.

Viewers are wondering how Damian will take the news and if he and Nate will get along. Fans are also wondering if Damian will be the new love interest that Y&R Head Writer Josh Griffith teased for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). However, fans will have to wait until Jan. 8th, Owen’s first appearance on the show, to officially find out if Owens is playing Damian or someone else.
