Are you a “Likey” fan? Then get ready, because The Young and the Restless is giving us a full hour of pure Likey goodness. CBS is rolling out a special standalone episode dedicated entirely to Michael and Lauren… or as fans lovingly ship them, “Likey.”
According to the new TV Guide Magazine, the episode is slated to air on December 9, 2025, and will celebrate the alter egos’ 20th wedding anniversary. Christian LeBlanc (Michael) told the magazine, “It was such a surprise. Tracey (Bregman) knows dates, times, years—everything. I was not clocking it at all. I was like, ‘Ooh, what? Yay!’”
LeBlanc shared that he had to dig through the memory vault, since the episode will feature montage moments—aka the flashbacks fans live for. And he promises viewers are going to love the clips TPTB chose.
Michael and Lauren have been married since 2005 and share a son, Fenmore Baldwin. Their relationship has been one of Y&R’s most steady—and spicy—long-running storylines, even with all the hurdles: Michael’s legal drama, their mismatched alliances, and the classic Genoa City chaos.
Way back when, Michael and Lauren weren’t exactly besties. Things shifted when Lauren showed compassion toward Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), Michael’s younger brother. She even posted Kevin’s bail—something Michael couldn’t do without risking his apartment. Michael was touched, they bonded, friendship sparked… and the rest is Likey history.
Of course, as aforementioned, it hasn’t all been hearts and roses. They’ve weathered more than a few storms, but somehow, they always find their way back to each other. And now—twenty years later—they get to celebrate that journey.
So, are you ready? Mark your calendars for December 9. You definitely don’t want to miss this Y&R episode.
