Get ready to see William Lipton back on your screens! The former General Hospital star, who played Cameron Webber from 2018 to 2024, is taking on a brand-new role in The Runarounds, a new series coming to Amazon Prime Video. And guess what? The trailer just dropped, along with the premiere date.

Mark your calendars because The Runarounds hits Prime Video on September 1.

From the creator of Outer Banks, this eight-episode series follows a group of recent high school grads who form a band in hopes of dodging the predictable paths life seems to have in store. As they chase their wild dream of making it big, they stumble into love, chaos, and a whole lot of trouble during one unforgettable summer.

What’s extra cool? The Runarounds is actually based on a real band of the same name, and the real-life band members are starring in the show. That includes William Lipton, along with Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher.

The group first came together in 2021 when Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate was searching for a band to feature in the series. After a casting call that drew over 5,000 musicians, these five were chosen and ended up performing together for the first time in front of Pate himself. They even appeared in season three of Outer Banks.

Lipton is featured heavily in the trailer, and if that’s anything to go by, fans are in for a ride.
