Y&R Recap February 29, 2024: Today on The Young and the Restless –Victor and Victoria reach an understanding about Claire, Devon stands his ground, and Chelsea loses patience with Adam.
Young and Restless (Y&R) Recap February 29, 2024: Breakfast At Society
Mariah and Kyle are grabbing some breakfast at Society when Abby strolls up to say hi. Mariah mentions how she’s really vibing with the place lately. Tessa was straight-up passed out this morning before she left. Abby explains that Tessa stayed super late to sort out the inventory, so she offered to cover her shift and let her catch some sleep. Everyone already love Tessa, and Abby reckons hiring her was the smartest move ever. They all can’t deny that Tessa is one seriously talented lady.
Mariah’s Advice!
Mariah fills Kyle in on how freaking awesome things are going with Aria. She loves her new job and she’s totally loving the company she and her mom are building. She’s got nothing to complain about. Kyle’s totally stoked for her. When Mariah asks him how he’s doing, “Things are great for you while you work with your mom. Meanwhile, a part of me wishes I get to steal my mom’s job right out from underneath her,” he confesses.
He doesn’t really want to steal her job, though. While he’s cool with the whole family working together thing, he’s just really bugged by the missed opportunity. Mariah tells him to cut himself some slack after the rough year he’s had. She says he should also think about his choices and behavior and figure out what he really wants. This could be his fresh start, his next adventure. Kyle gets home and finds out from Traci that Harrison’s nanny, Linda, had an emergency and had to leave. Kyle talks about all the losses his little dude has had in recent times.
Young and Restless (Y&R) Recap February 29, 2024: Office Drama
When Billy and Devon bump into each other at the office, Billy reveals that he’ll be MIA for a bit because he’s tagging along with Chelsea to Minnesota. She’s going there to check on Connor, who’s going through some tough times. Chelsea needs to see Connor’s specialist out there, and Billy’s going along to give her moral support. Devon doesn’t see any issue with that.
Devon Stands His Ground!
Billy mentions one thing he’d like Devon to do while he’s away. He’d appreciate it if Devon kept Chance in the loop and filled him in on any major decisions that might come up. He thinks it’s an opportunity for Chance to step up while he’s away. But Devon doesn’t feel like he’s the right replacement for Billy, but hey, if that’s what Billy wants, it’s his call.
Devon wishes Billy a safe trip just as Abby swings by. Billy takes off, and Abby points out that it’s clear the tension between the two guys isn’t easing up. Devon fills her in that Billy is heading out of town for a bit. He’s happy that Billy will be gone for a while and thinks things will be a lot smoother. Abby suggests relieving his tension as they start making out in the office.
Young and Restless (Y&R) Recap February 29, 2024: Going to Minnesota
Billy shows up at Crimson Lights and meets Chelsea. She’s wishing they were already in Minnesota. Chelsea’s all worked up, but Billy tries to reassure her, saying they’ll get through it and he’s got her back every step of the way. She tries to talk him out of coming, but he’s not having any of it.
Chelsea Loses Patience!
Then, Adam shows up and finds out that Billy is tagging along. Adam thinks it’s a private family thing, and having an outsider there could make things worse and make Connor more uncomfortable. Chelsea says that Connor hardly sees Billy as an outsider. Adam admits it’s tough to believe their son has OCD. She advises Adam to keep an open mind about whatever Connor’s diagnosis turns out to be. Billy insists that they all need to be on the same page about this, but Adam tells him the last thing he needs is for Billy to tell him how to parent his own son.
They start arguing and Chelsea intervenes, telling them they can’t do that right now. She says if they can’t control themselves, maybe they should just stay home.
Young and Restless (Y&R) Recap February 29, 2024: Victor and Victoria Agree
Victoria shows up at Newman and tells her dad she’s done fighting him for luring Jordan out. “You win,” she says. She’s cool with it, but she’s got some conditions. Her dad’s stoked, thinking Nikki talked some sense into her, but Victoria’s shocked that he sent Nikki to convince her.
However, she reveals that it was Claire who swayed her. Victor suspects there’s more going on with his daughter, but Victoria insists it’s just about family safety.
Then Michael interrupts with news that the judge ruled to remand Claire into Victoria and Cole’s custody. Worried about her daughter, Victoria asks her dad to keep her safe. He promises to protect her and suggests Claire stay at the ranch for better security. Victoria agrees, but only until Jordan is back in custody.
Victor then discusses his plans with Michael. He talks about a fake photo op to make it seem like Claire lives with Victoria, and Michael’s not so sure how things will work out, but Victor’s all confident, saying he’s always a step ahead, like in chess.
Young and Restless (Y&R) Recap February 29, 2024: Claire Gets Good News
Cole and Victoria swing by to let Claire know that the judge has given her the green light. Claire’s pumped but also kind of freaking out. Victoria lays down the law about some conditions for her release; Claire’s got to sign up pronto for an outpatient program with her doctors, check in regularly with the penal system, and prove she’s got security sorted at her new place.
Victoria wanted her to move in to her home, but Victor’s all about having her at the Ranch. Claire reminisces about how she used to daydream about living there and playing games when she was a kid. They then take her over to the Newman Ranch. Victoria reassures her that this is just the start of her homecoming as she gives her daughter a big hug.
Jordan’s chilling at the dive bar, and shoots a text to Seth, claiming she is all worried about her old pal Nikki. “Damn you, Seth. Where are you? Why haven’t you gotten back to me?” she grumbles. Jordan dials up Memorial, claiming that she is Nikki and just checking in on her granddaughter. She finds out that Claire’s been released.
