Courtney Hope is known for promoting healthy habits and an active lifestyle.

Fans who follow the actress on social media have often seen her sharing workouts, wellness routines, and updates from both her personal and professional life. This week, however, Hope opened up about something much more personal.

The Young and the Restless star revealed on Instagram Stories that she recently underwent endometriosis excision surgery after years of struggling with symptoms that went undiagnosed.

“Endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS are no joke,” Hope shared.

She went on to explain that it took years to receive answers.

“It took me 34 years and multiple gynos to finally get diagnosed with all three by the best, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi. Now, two years later, I am recovering after my surgery to remove it all.”

Years of Pain Finally Explained for Courtney Hope

Hope also shared details about what doctors discovered during the procedure.

According to the actress, surgeons found lesions throughout several areas of her body, including her left ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, and colon.

She revealed that an endometrioma was found inside her left ovary and that the ovary itself had become attached to her intestines due to the condition.

The findings helped explain years of symptoms and chronic pain.

“Decades of pain and symptoms explained,” Hope wrote. “I’m so grateful to have answers and to be on the road to recovery and proper treatment.”

Encouraging Others to Advocate for Themselves

One of the main reasons Hope decided to share her experience was to encourage others who may be dealing with similar symptoms.

The actress urged women not to ignore warning signs and to continue seeking answers if they believe something is wrong.

“Advocate for yourself if you believe you may have endo, adeno, or PCOS!” she wrote.

She also pointed out that severe pain, exhaustion, inflammation, cysts, and excessive bleeding should not simply be accepted as normal.

Hope admitted that she usually keeps health matters private, but felt compelled to speak out because she wishes she had known sooner what signs to watch for.

“If I had known sooner what to look for, I could have potentially saved myself years of suffering,” she explained.

An Outpouring of Support

In a follow-up post, Hope thanked fans for their overwhelming support and kind messages.

She also expressed surprise at how many women reached out to share their own experiences with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PCOS.

“I’m mind blown at the amount of women suffering and in active recovery from Endo, Adeno, and PCOS,” she wrote.

Hope added that she is grateful for the growing awareness, advocacy efforts, and medical research surrounding these conditions.

She hopes that increased education and understanding will help others avoid years of pain, confusion, and uncertainty.

A Fan Favorite in Daytime Television

Hope currently stars on The Young and the Restless as Sally Spectra, a role that has made her one of daytime television’s most popular actresses.

She earned a Daytime Emmy Award for her work and is also well known to soap fans for portraying Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful.
