There’s no doubt that Camryn Grimes is beloved in her role as Mariah Copeland on The Young and the Restless. While she hasn’t been onscreen much lately, fans are eagerly awaiting the next time they’ll see her—and so are we.
In the meantime, our hearts go out to Camryn, who took to Instagram to share some heartbreaking news. Posting a picture of her cat, Grimes opened up about the grief she was experiencing.
Camryn Grimes’ Loss
She wrote:
“My Bagheera, Bagooroo, Baggy… I don’t even know what to say. You know, with having and caring for animals, there are losses you know are coming, and then I guess some that come out of nowhere and gut punch you. If you were never a cat person, Bagheera could’ve swayed you. I called him my ‘liquid cat’ because he just melted into whatever form you took. The purest of souls, the most goodest boy. We love you, buddy. Say hi to Riley for us.”
Grimes, who recently married her real-life love, Brock Powell, received an outpouring of support from fans in the comment section of her post.
One fan wrote, “I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is heartbreaking when we lose our pets, as it is like losing a best friend.” Another shared, “I’m so sorry. 🥹 We have a black cat that looks like yours, Black Diamond. He’s a sweetheart. Black cats are the best.” And one more added, “Aw, Cam, I’m so so sorry. The sweetest cat there ever was.”
