Devon and Nate are going back and forth about Mamie and her plan. Devon believes she’s right about Billy and that Chance could be a solid ally if things go south.

Nate brings up Devon’s own past battles with Lily, himself, and now Billy. Devon argues that he was just protecting the company and Neil’s legacy. Nate thinks they should focus on their work and let Billy mess things up on his own. He also thinks Mamie is the real focus. But Devon insists that the problem is not Mamie, but Billy.

Nina wants names but he tells her to chill. Then he admits feeling stuck in some power play between Devon and Billy. He pitched this awesome idea at the company, and Devon was into it, but then Billy dissed it in front of everyone. Chance can totally sense some major tension between the two, and he doesn’t want to be their pawn.

Nina advises him that if he feels unhappy, he could leave and work elsewhere. But Chance says that while he could do that, he could also use this to his advantage. He’s not trying to stir up trouble; he just wants to show that he’s the mature one here, looking out for the company’s best interests.

Then Amanda and Mamie walk in, and Chance thinks this is some drama alert; these two being together cannot be any good.

Mamie Wants the Merger Reversed!

Amanda and Mamie grab some drinks at the bar and start chatting. Mamie mentions how important family, tradition, and legacy are to her right now. Amanda points out that Jill has been saying the same thing, and they might have more in common than they realize. Amanda respectfully disagrees, saying that Jill would never go for it as it would make leadership look weak and unstable, causing them to lose public confidence. Mamie suggests they could handle it behind the scenes and maintain a united front. Curious, Amanda asks Mamie what she’s hoping to gain from all of this.

Later, Amanda is invited to join Chance and Nina, while Mamie returns to Chancellor-Winters and updates Devon and Nate on her conversation with Amanda regarding the proposal.
