Young and Restless Y&R Recap April 1, 2024:
At the Abbott mansion, Jack tells Traci about his run-in with Tucker. She wonders why Tucker doesn’t just pack up and move to France to run Glissade. Jack’s nodding in agreement, saying he told Tucker the exact same thing, but Tucker had the nerve to bring up Ashley.
Traci’s not even surprised. Then, Jack reveals that Tucker claims Ashley wants to be his partner in business and love. He thinks Tucker’s just trying to stir up trouble for the family.
Jack invites Traci to join him and Diane for a drink at the club, but she turns him down saying she has some reading to do.
As he leaves, Traci’s mind goes back to her talk with Ashley. Then, Ashley comes in and finds Traci lost in thought. She hopes Traci’s concerned look has nothing to do with her. Traci tells her that it actually does.
Ashley insists she’s over Tucker, but Traci says he’s clearly not over her. Jack told her about their encounter, and Tucker seems to think Ashley’s behaving erratically. But Ashley says Tucker thinking she’s crazy is exactly what she wants.
She claims she’s got a plan, and it’s going exactly as she wants it to. Traci’s curious, but Ashley’s not giving her any details. Traci pleads with her to think it through, but Ashley’s made up her mind and walks out, leaving Traci worried.
Young and Restless Y&R Recap April 1, 2024:
Diane and Jack catch up at the Athletic Club over drinks. He tells her about bumping into Tucker and how he’s worried about his sister. Jack thinks she’s not herself lately due to stress, but she insists she’s okay and he believes her.
Diane mentions her earlier disagreement with Kyle, and Jack tells her that Kyle wants to patch things up. She mentions how hard she’s worked to build a relationship with her son and doesn’t want to lose that.
She suggests switching roles with Kyle at the company, but Jack advises against it, saying that changing jobs might not solve the issue. He reassures her that he believes she’s where she belongs.
Tucker and Audra
So, Tucker asks Audra to hear him out at the Jazz Lounge, and she decides to give him two minutes of her time. He starts off saying she’s totally right to be mad about the whole thing with Ashley. He claims he doesn’t care if she’s losing it or faking it, his only concern is Audra because she means everything to him.
Audra hopes he is not just telling her what she wants to her. He tells her that he is desperate and cannot afford to lose her. Audra begs him to look into her eyes and tell her that he loves her and he does. She’s touched, they kiss, and she tells him that she loves him too.
So they head to his room, only to find Ashley sitting there. “What the hell?” Audra says. Ashley explains she’s there about some appointment she and Tucker discussed. Tucker wishes her the best with it and notes they have nothing to talk about. She informs him she’s doing this for them but he reminds her they will never be an item again.
Ashley wants to talk privately, but Audra shuts that down. Ashley tells Tucker to put a muzzle on this yappy little bitch. Things get heated, but Tucker intervenes and tells Ashley to leave. As she goes, she’s all disoriented and wondering what’s happening to her.
Young and Restless Y&R Recap April 1, 2024:
Claire is at Crimson Lights, sipping her coffee, when Michael walks in all curious about what she’s up to. She tells him it’s her first time venturing out into the real world on her own since leaving Memorial. She’s over the moon to be free from her crazy aunt and stoked to live a normal life.
Michael makes a comment about her being strong like her mom. Then Lauren pops in, and Michael jokes about her carrying pecan muffins, and turns out he’s spot on. Claire gives kudos to Michael for representing her and helping her regain her freedom.
Lauren wonders what Claire’s plans are now, and she mentions a little girl at Memorial she’s taken a liking to, thinking of doing something with children.
Just then, Summer comes in and Claire calls her out. Lauren has to leave, and Michael offers to drop her off as he has to go over to Victor’s.
Summer and Claire
After they leave, Claire invites Summer to join her, but Summer says she’s just on a quick coffee break. Claire picks up on Summer knowing everything about her and confronts her.
Summer brings up Claire’s attempt to harm her family and questions her desire to work with children. Claire explains how she was manipulated since a child into believing her family despised her, and mentions talking to Kyle about it earlier.
Chance arrives, but Claire gets a text from her mom and has to depart. She bids her goodbyes. Chance comments on Claire being nice, and Summer tells him how she was once her grandma’s assistant, plotting with her crazy aunt to take down the Newman family. She tells him all about what went down at the remote cabin in Oregon.
Summer admits she’s not ready to trust Claire, finding it hard to believe someone can go from homicidal behavior to a normal person in just a few months.
Young and Restless Y&R Recap April 1, 2024:
At the Ranch, Victor’s barking orders on the phone to find Jordan. Adam strolls in, asking how come that lady is still such a big threat. Victor vows to hunt her down and end it. He’s determined to see it through, no matter what.
Victor asks what has Adam buzzing, and Adam explains he’s flying to the east coast tonight with Chelsea and Connor. He assures Victor that everything’s under control, and confesses that Connor has OCD and they’re working hard to support him.
Victor assures them that they can count on him for anything they need. Victoria shows up, asking if they’ve seen Claire. She’s fretting that Claire might have left or Jordan could have gotten to her, but Victor reassures her that the security is tight, so it’s impossible. Adam agrees, mentioning that he struggled to get past security himself, and Victoria cheekily remarks that it’s because they don’t like him.
Victoria asks Adam why he can’t just cut Claire some slack, like the rest of the family does for him. He apologizes and admits he still has his doubts, but he’s willing to let it slide because he understands how parents are when it comes to their kids.
He tells her about Connor’s OCD, and she expresses sympathy and relief that they’re taking proactive steps. Victoria offers her help, saying they should reach out if they need anything.
An Update on Jordan
Victor returns and informs them that the security guards confirmed Claire went out for a coffee. When Claire gets home, she’s reminded not to pull a stunt like that again until Jordan is in custody. Victor advises her to take a guard next time or at least let her mom know where she is. Claire agrees and apologizes.
Michael arrives with an update on Jordan, saying that someone named Eve Howard purchased a train ticket from Chicago to Houston and it could be Jordan on the run.
Victor points out it might just be a diversion. Michael promises to follow up on the lead and leaves. Adam goes to check on Connor, and Claire asks Victor about Adam’s son. Victor explains that the boy has OCD, and Claire expresses sympathy for him.
Jordan goes to a spot and says the Newman thought they could mess with her, now they’re in for it. Later on, Jordan’s disguised as a man, keeping a close eye on Claire.
