It’s never easy to say goodbye, especially when it’s to someone who’s become part of our daily lives. After a memorable run on Days of Our Lives, Al Calderon is officially signing off (he’s officially wrapped filming) — and he’s going out with love. In a touching message shared to his Instagram Stories, Al opened up about how much the experience meant to him. If you’ve been following his journey, you’ll want to read every word.

He wrote:

“My time on Days of our Lives has been truly life-changing. I’m endlessly grateful to the cast, crew, and creatives who made me feel seen, valued, and part of a legacy of family. I’ll carry the love, lessons, and memories with me on every journey I go on. While I’m just a small grain of sand, I’m just happy I got to pass through the hourglass. As my mom used to tell me, it’s not goodbye, just see you later. I love you forever.”

He also added a heart and an hourglass emoji and tagged the show’s official Instagram account. Moments later, his castmate and friend Greg Rikaart (Leo) responded to the post, writing, “You’re a class act AND a star.” Agreed.

Al Calderon made his debut on Days of Our Lives as Javi Hernandez in October 2024. Since then, he’s captured the hearts of fans and made his mark in Salem. Up next, he’s stepping into a series regular role on NBC’s Brilliant Minds, beginning in Season 2, which premieres this September. As for his exit from Days, Calderon’s final scenes are set to air in May 2026.
