Former ‘All My Children’ actor, Eric Nelsen (ex-AJ Chandler) and General Hospital’s Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) are in an upcoming movie titled “Nightmare Cinema”. Nelsen who recently traveled to New York to film his role as Bram in “The Affair” for season 4 will play two roles in the upcoming horror film. Nelsen will play Fred who he tells Soap Opera Digest is “a pushover, a nerd, and the love of his life sees right through him” as well as The Welder who he also tells SOD is “everybody’s nightmare!” Benard on the other hand will play the role of Father Benedict.
At his point there’s no word on a release date but it is worth noting that the film is written by Sandra Becerril and Alejandro Bruques and directed by Bruques and Joe Dante. Other stars in the upcoming horror film are; Stephanie Cood, Richard Chamberlain, Adam Godley, Lexy Panterra, Orson Chaplin, Kevin Fonteyne and more!
Benard’s list of acting credits also include his role as Nico Kelly on ‘All My Children’ from 1987 – 1990, a soap both stars have in common. Nelsen also plays Daniel Garrett on “The Bay” which should return soon. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming film!
