As The World Turns’ alum Billy Magnussen has landed a series role in HBO Max’s adaptation of Alissa Nutting’s novel Made For Love.
The 10-episode series follows Hazel Green, a thirtysomething woman on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to an unstable, needy, possibly sociopathic tech CEO billionaire named Byron (Magnussen). “Hazel discovers that her husband has already implanted a revolutionary monitoring device – the “Made for Love” – in her brain, allowing him to track her, watch her, and know her thoughts and feelings as she tries to stay alive.”
Soap opera fans will remember Billy from his time on the CBS soap As The World Turns where he played Casey Hughes from 2006 – 2010. Since ATWT ended, Billy has starred in major TV, stage, and film productions like American Crime Story, Into The Woods, Black Mirror, Aladdin (2019) and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike where he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play.
