Talk about a temporary gig turning into a total daytime run! When young actor Asher Antonyzyn took over the role of Danny Morgan on General Hospital back in October 2023, he was originally only slated to stick around for a tiny three-episode guest stint. Flash forward three years later, and the talented teen is officially celebrating three full years on the ABC daytime serial as he charges right into year four!

Asher Antonyzyn Was Only Supposed to Appear in Three Episodes!

Taking to Instagram to share his gratitude with fans and colleagues, Antonyzyn reflected on how far he’s come since first stepping foot onto the Port Charles set.

“Three episodes. That was the original commitment. ‘Unless they decide to write more for your character…’ Thankfully, they did,” Antonyzyn wrote, sharing a carousel of episodic stills from his time on the show.

Expressing Gratitude to the Cast, Crew, and Soap Fans

Reflecting on his journey from a newcomer to a staple of the show’s teen scene, Antonyzyn made sure to thank the key people behind and in front of the camera who helped shape his performance.

“Today marks three years since my first appearance as Danny Morgan on @generalhospitalabc. Now I’m heading into year four, and I’m so grateful. Thank you, @markteschner and @fvalentinigh, for taking a chance on me. Thank you, @holly_gagnier, for coaching me and helping me grow. Thank you, @1steveburton, for working with me, teaching me, and helping me find my way as your son on screen. And thank you to all of the scene partners I’ve had the privilege of working with over the past three years.”

He went on to thank the wider General Hospital community and the dedicated fan base for embracing him as Jason Morgan and Sam McCall’s son:

“I’ve been lucky to work with so many incredible people in front of and behind the camera. Thank you for making me feel like part of the family and giving me so much to learn from. And to the GH fans, thank you for welcoming me and supporting Danny’s story. It means more than you know. Three episodes turned into three years. Can’t wait to see what year four brings.”

Asher’s Co-stars React

Naturally, his colleagues flooded the comment section. Eden McCoy (Joss) wrote, “Congratulations babe.” Meanwhile, Kayden Brenna Tokarski who plays his onscreen sister, Scout Cain, said, “My bro, the best Danny Morgan.” Troy Lennon Appel, aka Hudson Parker, added, “Crushing it bud.” and Giovanni Mazza (Gio Palmeri) chimed, “Love it dude.”

Congrats to Asher Antonyzyn on three incredible years as Danny Morgan!
