Bill’s Slip Sparks Tension
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett), Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), and Hayley (Marquita Goings) were out for lunch when Dani (Karla Mosley) called with good news about Anita’s (Tamara Tunie) medical update. At first, everything was going well.
Then Bill made a mistake.
In the middle of the conversation, he slipped and called Dani “baby.” It was a small moment, but it said a lot, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Dani immediately picks up on it and wants answers. She questions Bill about what’s really going on, because that kind of slip doesn’t just happen for no reason.
Meanwhile, Naomi is left at a loss. She witnessed the whole thing, and it clearly has her thinking. Is she starting to worry about what’s really going on between her parents?
Relationships Tested
Beyond the Gates spoilers for April 17 also tease that Vernon (Clifton Davis) seeks out Madison (Kenjah McNeil) for advice.
Could this be about Anita’s latest medical update? All Vernon wants is for his wife to come through this stronger, and he’s clearly searching for guidance on what to do next.
Elsewhere, Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) finally get candid with each other.
Their friendship has been on shaky ground for a while, especially after that fallout at Uptown. But after getting some advice from her son Martin (Brandon Claybon), Nicole may be ready to fix things.
Now it comes down to whether both women are willing to meet in the middle.
At the same time, drama is brewing elsewhere in Fairmont Crest.
Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah (Lami) are in a good place right now, but that might not last. Eva is not going to be happy when she spots her man spending time with her half-sister Kat (Colby Nixon), someone she already can’t stand.
That situation feels like it’s heading straight for fireworks.
