Leslie and Eva Show Up at the Dupree Manor
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva (Ambyr Michelle) showing up at the Dupree manor isn’t exactly an everyday thing.
Well, probably not for Eva. Leslie, on the other hand? That’s another story. Any chance she gets to turn up at the manor, she takes it.
So we’re not exactly surprised that Leslie and Eva show up to have a chat with Anita (Tamara Tunie).
Of course, Anita isn’t exactly happy to see Leslie.
Anita knows she’s a troublemaker, and she isn’t exactly looking forward to whatever Leslie has come to discuss. Still, Leslie insists that it will only take a minute. Yeah. We’ve heard that before.
Last time we saw them in the same space, Leslie made demands of Anita, Tracy (Maria Howell), and Sharon (Bonita Brisker).
She wanted to be in the booth for the recording, she wanted to be named a producer, and she wanted to be paid for giving permission to use Barbara’s voice on the new album.
So we’re almost certain that Leslie and Eva turning up at the manor has something to do with Barbara and the music.
And Beyond the Gates spoilers tease that Anita, Leslie, Eva and Vernon (Clifton Davis) face the music together.
Anita already doesn’t trust Leslie, so whatever Leslie has planned probably isn’t going to go over smoothly.
Deanna Reaches Her Breaking Point
Meanwhile, Deanna (Angela Fairley) finally reaches her breaking point and makes a big decision.
She has been talking to Doug’s (Jason Graham) ghost, and she’s been hell-bent on getting revenge on Joey (Jon Lindstrom).
She has even been playing a game to get what she wants. But is Deanna finally giving up?
Or is she ready to go all in and make Joey pay for her father’s death? That’s the big question.
Deanna has already gone a long way down this road, and turning back may not be as easy as she once thought.
If she decides revenge is still the goal, Joey could have a serious problem on his hands.
Bill’s Daughter Drops a Bombshell

But which daughter?

Vanessa Gets Vulnerable With Izaiah
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) also gets vulnerable with Izaiah (Lami).
He may be one of the few people in town who Joey has earned some respect from.
That could make Izaiah the perfect person for Vanessa to open up to.
She can’t exactly go to Joey with everything, and talking to Dani (Karla Mosley) or Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) may not be what she needs right now.
Sometimes you need someone outside the immediate circle.
Izaiah could be that person for Vanessa.
