B&B Recap October 29: Could This Be the Bold Next Power Couple?

B&B Recap October 29: Liam Shares His News

Liam shows up at Spencer Publications to share the big news with Bill and Will — he’s engaged to Hope. Bill’s thrilled, of course, and Liam makes it clear he’s not taking any of it for granted.

Will tells Liam he’s so happy for him, especially after everything he’s been through. Liam admits he might still be in shock — not that long ago, he was preparing to say goodbye to everyone. Bill smiles and says it looks like things are finally falling into place.

Bill jokes that he’ll save his big speech for the wedding, but for now, he just wants Liam to know how truly happy he is for him and this next chapter.

Liam says he’s just as happy to be back at Spencer. Bill adds that he wants the company to reflect Liam — and this second chance he’s been given. When Cassie, Bill’s executive, interrupts, Bill waves it off, assuring her it’s fine.

Bill Gives Cassie a Break

Bill tells Cassie he’s noticed how hard she’s been working on the new project — all the late hours and effort she’s put in — and he appreciates how dedicated she’s been.

Cassie promises it should be finished by the end of the day, but Bill tells her not to stress about it. He guesses her family probably hasn’t seen much of her lately and says the deal can wait until tomorrow.

He suggests she head home, take the rest of the day off, and spend some time with her granddaughter. Cassie’s surprised but grateful, thanking him before she heads out.

After she leaves, Liam and Will clap for their dad. Bill chuckles and tells his sons that they’re the ones who inspired this “new and improved” version of him.

He admits he’s painfully aware now that there are things far more important than money. Then he tells Liam to go spend some time with his beautiful fiancée. Liam hugs Will, and before heading out, Bill tells him he’s proud of him — and that this is a very special day for Spencer.

Hope Shares Her News

At Il Giardino, Hope shows off her ring and tells Deacon and Deke that Liam proposed — and she said yes. Deacon’s thrilled for her and points out that Beth must be over the moon, too. Hope admits she’s glowing. She adds that fresh starts really can happen — and maybe it’s time Deacon makes one happen for himself.

Hope apologizes for putting her dad on the spot, but says the fresh start she’s getting might just be contagious. She asks if he’s thought about what comes next — what his life could look like from here.

Hope reminds him that she and Deke just want him to be happy. She gently asks if he’s thought about moving on from Sheila — maybe even with someone new.

Deacon points out that just because he’s moved out doesn’t mean he’s ready to move on — he’s still working through things in therapy. Hope hopes that Taylor can help him make the right decision.

Steffy Questions Taylor

At home, Steffy thanks Taylor for helping with Kelly and Hayes. She then admits she’s worried about her mom now that Ridge is with Brooke and his future seems pretty set. Steffy gently asks what’s next for her.

Taylor reminds her that she’s been keeping busy with work, but Steffy presses a little, wanting to know about life outside of that, and worries about her mom being alone.

Taylor insists she’s not truly alone; she has family. She says she’ll always cherish the time she had with Ridge; loving him gave her her three children. But she’s tired of the back-and-forth and would rather be alone than go through that again.

Still, she doesn’t think she’ll be alone forever. Steffy wonders what’s changed and if her mom might actually be open to a new relationship.

Later, Deacon picks up his phone and sends Taylor a text.

At home, Steffy gets a message and has to step out for a moment. Before leaving, she tells her mom that if someone comes into her life and it feels right, she should go for it.

Once Steffy is gone, Taylor checks her phone and sees a message from Deacon saying he wants to see her again. He calls, and Taylor answers. He tells her he just wanted to hear her voice and asks when they can meet to talk about what happened. Taylor suggests they see each other now.

B&B Recap October 29: Hope and Liam Celebrate

Liam and Hope meet at Forrester and talk about how their families reacted to the engagement news. Liam notes that his dad was genuinely happy, and Hope says hers reacted the same way.

He admits it’s been one setback after another, and it’s been a long time since their families had something to celebrate. Hope is confident this will be a wedding to look forward to — especially if her dad separates from Sheila, so they wouldn’t have to include her.

Liam agrees, saying her absence could be a relief. Hope jokes that maybe her dad could find someone a little less… psychotic, maybe even someone with more toes.
