In a shocking surprise, Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) announced on social media that he is leaving The Young and the Restless after thirteen years. Goddard joined the CBS soap in late 2006 and began airing in early 2007. While on the show he was part of a fan-favorite pairing with Lily Winters.
In the post, he stated that “I am as shocked and gutted as you are…I almost didn’t post but I felt that the most loyal & loving fans an actor could wish for deserved to know and watch the last story arc knowing the rich meaning behind it.”
