5 years ago, Days of Our Lives was blessed with a new talent. Daytime newcomer, Casey Moss began playing the role of JJ Deveraux, the son of Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (ex-Matthew Ashford) on May 6, 2013. Although the character existed on the canvas before, Moss’ version was significantly launched as a troubled teenager in 2013. He returned to Salem from boarding school in London focused on rebellion following his father’s death and feud with his mother’s newfound boyfriend, Dr. Daniel Jonas (ex-Shawn Christian). JJ’s storyline shifted in 2014 when he met Paige Larson (ex-True O’Brien) who became his girlfriend and likewise, her portrayer became his real-life girlfriend. JJ later cheats on her with her mother and his mother’s longtime rival, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva). Throughout his time in Salem, JJ has been paired with a number of beauties including; Gabi (Camila Banus) and Lani (Sal Stowers). Moss earned his first Daytime Emmy award nomination in 2018 in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. He also received a Gold Derby award nomination in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama in 2013. Today marks his 5th year playing the role of JJ Deveraux on the NBC daytime drama.
