Congratulations are certainly in order! Chris McKenna has officially become a father, as he and his wife Lovisa joyfully welcomed their first child, a baby boy. McKenna proudly shared heartwarming pictures of the newborn, along with the announcement, “Introducing Spencer J. McKenna, born on 7/6/24.”
Back when McKenna made the announcement they were expecting, he said, “My amazing wife and (the less amazing) I have been waiting to announce this. We’re very excited. Baby McKenna coming this summer!”
McKenna also posted about the gender reveal, “If it’s a girl, we have Ripley, our niece in the family already, we love her dearly, so it would be lovely to have another one of those. On the other hand, this last generation of McKennas has produced only girls. And we don’t have many chances left for the McKenna name to continue.”
McKenna gained recognition as young Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live from 1990-93. He played Detective Mark Harding on The Young and the Restless from 2014-15, and Dr. Hayden on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2016.
Chris McKenna announced his engagement in 2020, later revealing that they he and Lovisa had eloped during the pandemic.
