After six years in the role of Thomas DiMera on Days of Our Lives, Cary Christopher’s sands in the hourglass have officially run out.
The young actor’s final airdate is set for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, on Peacock.
In a recent post on social media, Christopher confirmed the news, writing, “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. February 17th will be my last appearance as Thomas DiMera. Thanks for all the memories.”
The post featured several behind-the-scenes photos of Christopher with his co-stars over the years, marking the end of a long chapter on the daytime soap.
Although his final episode airs next week, Christopher actually wrapped filming in 2025. But due to the show’s advanced tape-to-air schedule, fans are just now seeing his last scenes play out. Word is, a new actor will step into the role of Thomas this spring.
What’s Next for Cary Christopher?
Back in January, Christopher had already hinted that his time in Salem was coming to an end.
“My last appearance on Days of Our Lives will be next month. I have 3 more episodes as Thomas DiMera, the next on January 21st. It’s been such a great ride! Please welcome the new Thomas with open arms. And on January 25th my new show, It’s Not Like That, premieres! I think you will absolutely love it. And right now I am in Berlin working on an exciting new project.”
The young thespian has clearly been keeping busy. Christopher has even earned a Critics’ Choice Award nomination as his career continues to expand beyond daytime.
His latest major projects include roles in the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video series Spider-Noir and the horror thriller film Weapons. He also recently appeared in the TV series High Potential and The Rookie.
While his chapter as Thomas DiMera is closing, it’s clear Cary Christopher’s career is just getting started.
