Days of our Lives Recap March 14, 2024: Today on Days of our Lives – Harris awakens to find Ava taking care of him. John and Marlena meet Roman and Eric at the pub to discuss Jude’s upcoming christening. Maggie and Konstantin draw closer. John, Steve and Ava discuss how they feel about Clyde’s escape.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 14, 2024:
Julie and Eli are hanging out in the square. She fills him in on the fire situation, and they both talk about how Paulina is doing better and Abe has regained his memories. Julie really wants Eli to stick around in Salem, but then he announces—he’s got a killer job offer in DC that he’s super excited about. Julie is over the moon and can’t wait to go tell Doug the good news.
Marlena’s chatting with John about how he’s been sleeping lately. She’s pretty certain that after saving Tripp and Wendy must be giving him some nightmares. He admits it but says he’d rather not get into it at the moment. Marlena tells him that she’s there whenever he’s ready, as they head out to meet Eric.
Christening Talk!
Eric and Roman are at the Pub, shooting the breeze about Jude. Roman gives props to Eric for helping out with Lucas. Just then, John and Marlena roll in, and they dive into the nitty-gritty of the christening. Marlena suggests throwing a shindig after the big event, but Eric mentions that Nicole already offered to host it at the DiMera mansion.
As they discuss godparents, it’s revealed that Sloan asked Melinda to be the godmother, and Eric plans to ask Brady to be the godfather. Roman notices that John looks worn out, and they all start singing his praises for being a hero and rescuing Tripp and Wendy. But John shrugs it off, insisting he’s no hero.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 14, 2024:
Steve shows up and finds out about the christening plans. Although he’s keen to join, he says he needs a minute with John outside. When they get out, Steve tells John they’re meeting Ava at the office in an hour. Back inside, Marlena compliments Eric on how good he looks as a father. She also asks about Sloan, and Roman wants the lowdown as he learns that Sloan hit the bottle recently. Eric adds that sometimes it seems like Sloan’s jealous of Jude.
Breakfast In Bed!
Ava brings Harris some breakfast in bed and fills him in on how Tripp and Wendy are doing. They chat about Clyde’s escape, and Harris suggests that Clyde must have had help, probably not just from Goldman alone. He suspects Stefan might have been involved, but Ava doesn’t think so.
Then, Harris teases Ava, calling her “nurse Nightingale,” before they almost share a kiss, but Ava’s phone interrupts. It’s Steve, asking to talk, and even though she’s in the middle of something, Steve insists they chat in an hour.
Ava has to dash, but she asks Harris if he’ll be okay on his own and tells him to call if he needs anything. While she’s gone, Harris looks at a picture of Ava and admits he wants to trust her, but he’s convinced she’s up to something. He keeps trying to reach Stefan but can only get his voicemail. Furious, Harris leaves a message demanding that Stefan stop avoiding him and find him, or else he won’t like the consequences.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 14, 2024:
Steve’s at the office reading the news about Wendy and Tripp’s rescue. Then, they all meet up at the office and start wondering about the connection with Goldman and Clyde. Ava notes that from what she can tell, they’re lovers. Then John starts blaming Ava for double-crossing them, and she fires back, blaming them for trying to double-cross her first. She notes they had no choice but says there is always always a choice.
Ava’s had enough of their holier-than-thou act, saying they’ve all done things in the past. John’s just standing there in a daze and agrees with her. Ava insists that no one can know that the three of them were behind the prison break. What matters is that they saved their son.
Then Ava’s ready to leave and Steve says he’s heading back to the hospital. Ava decides to tag along, then John’s left behind saying there are a few things to follow up on. He calls Konstantin, telling him he needs to see him.
Meanwhile, in the square, Ava asks Steve what’s up with John because sometimes he seems like he’s checking out. Steve notes that he’s known John for decades, and sometimes he’s a mystery even to him. Ava heads home, but Harris isn’t in bed. Then Steve runs into Marlena, telling her they need to talk.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 14, 2024:
Konstantin and Maggie are having some breakfast. They chat about kids and Konstantin mentions he wishes he had grandkids. Maggie tells him she’s really sorry about his daughter. She says she understands the pain of losing a child as she has lost one and two, and now she focuses so much on Sarah since her brother and sister are gone.
Maggie tells Konstantin that she appreciates him opening up to her. She tells him that his story about his late daughter has touched her heart. Konstantin says she has touched him too, and he treasures their friendship and cherishes her. He says she’s a really special woman. She appreciates his words but says the guilt hasn’t gone away. Being close to another man besides her late husband makes her feel like she’s betraying him.
Konstantin wonders why Victor would want her to continue in life without feeling cherished, wouldn’t he want her to be happy, he asks. Konstantin then asks Maggie if she’s of Irish descent, but she’s not sure. She mentions that wherever they’re descended from doesn’t change anything; you can’t change the past. Konstantin agrees and says sometimes there’s something in a person’s past that they will never forget.
Love Advice and Demanding Answers!
Julie and Eli stop by the Kiriakis mansion, and he reveals that he and Lani are leaving this afternoon because he has a new job in DC. After Eli says his goodbyes and leaves, Julie admits she knows the mansion is full of people, but it will feel so empty without Eli and the grandkids around. Maggie agrees, saying that she knows what it’s like to have a full house and still feel lonely.
After not catching up for a while, Julie asks Maggie how she is doing. Maggie notes that she still misses Victor. Maggie admits she feels guilty because she feels drawn to Konstantin and hates herself for it. Julie says she’s got a lot of years left, so why should she be alone? She thinks Victor would give her his blessings because he would want her to be happy and loved.
Konstantin and John have a meeting at the office, and John is all worked up, asking Konstantin what he knows about him. John insists on knowing what Konstantin did to him, mentioning that he’s been having nightmares and it’s even affecting his wife. But Konstantin just calmly responds that it’s more about what John did to him.
