On the September 2nd episode of Days of Our Lives, Javi finally revealed the heartbreaking secret he’s been hiding: he once had a child who died. But that wasn’t the only thing. Marlena had another disturbing dream, Brady and Tate uncovered more lies about Sophia, and Chad opened up to Cat about his true feelings for her. Here’s what went down!
Brady and Tate Suspect Sophia
Brady and Tate were shocked to discover that the photo Sophia sent them was one from a stock website.
Filled with suspicions, Brady decided to open up to Tate about his investigation. Brady told Tate that he got this gut feeling that Sophia wasn’t being honest after her slip-up, and on top of that, he felt Sarah was surprised when he told her the baby was a girl.
Those two things alone were enough to send him on a sleuthing path.
Brady convinced Tate to try and get Sophia to give him a copy of the adoption papers while at the same time not tipping her off about their suspicions.
Later, Brady met with Steve to update him. Steve pointed out that he ran into Javi with Tesoro and started wondering if that could be Sophia and Tate’s baby.
After adding a few things up, like the fact that Brady noticed Sophia was “still pregnant” at the time the baby was left at the fire station, he and Steve tossed the idea aside that little Tesoro could actually be hers.
Melinda Calms Sophia
On edge, Sophia raced into Melinda’s office to find out what was going on. Melinda updated her on Brady’s visit with Pasty McGowan. Soon, Sophia realized that it was her mentioning of the baby as a “he” that sent Brady investigating. Melinda calmed a worried Sophia and told her that they had everything under control.
Javi’s Big Secret
A knock on the door changed everything. It was Javi, and Sophia had her usual worried look. Sophia left, Javi came in, and sought Melinda’s advice on the possibility of him and Leo legally adopting Tesoro.
Melinda made mention of Leo’s track record and suggested maybe Javi would stand a better chance applying as a single father. This was when Javi opened up and noted that he had a child that died.
Marlena’s Dream and Chad’s True Feelings
Marlena had that recurring nightmare of being the Queen of the night. She jumped out of her sleep, noticed the snake in her bed, and screamed. Tate ran in to her rescue.
Over in the park, Chad and Cat were kissing when Rachel interrupted. Of course, the two wondered if Rachel saw them.
Lo and behold, she did. She went to Grandma Marlena’s and updated her about her day in the park and the fact that she saw Chad kissing the blonde. Being that it’s really none of their business, Marlena suggested they keep it to themselves, and Rachel agreed.
Meanwhile, Chad and Cat went to her place, where they got down to business.
He opened up about his true feelings and noted that while he has forgiven her and really wants to explore his first strong connection since Abigail’s death, he is worried about how Julie, Jack, and Jennifer would react.
However, he just wanted to focus on the here and now. So he pulled Cat in for another steamy kiss.
