If you’ve seen the posts, read the articles, or heard the rumors about Suzanne Rogers retiring from Days of Our Lives as Maggie Horton Kiriakis — don’t believe them. They’re simply not true.

According to a report from Soap Opera Digest, a rep for the show shut it down completely, saying the speculation “could not be further from the truth.” They added that both Maggie and Suzanne are absolutely vital to the show’s history, its current storylines, and now, with the recent series renewal, its future. In short? Neither is going anywhere.

Recently, social media lit up with dramatic posts claiming Suzanne Rogers was leaving the show. Most of these came from sketchy Facebook pages. One even featured a fake quote about her supposed “final episode” airing soon.

To add to that, some fans may have gotten confused when Maggie recently mentioned going out of town with Sarah to visit her other daughter. But no, even if Maggie went on the trip, that would not be a permanent exit.

Suzanne Rogers is best known for her iconic role as Maggie Horton, which she started playing back in 1973. That’s over 50 years ago — and counting. She holds the title as the longest-running actor in American soap opera history, and Maggie is the longest-running character. She even took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series back in 1979.

So, to set the record straight: Suzanne Rogers isn’t going anywhere, and neither is Maggie. (Photo: Peacock.)
