As of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the role of Arianna Horton on Days of Our Lives will now be played by daytime newcomer Vico Escorcia.
Escorcia replaces Marissa Reyes, who recently exited the show. Clearly excited about the opportunity, Escorcia shared on Instagram, “Aterrizando en Salem! I am deeply honored to announce that I am joining the iconic cast of Days of Our Lives as the new Arianna Horton.”

She also reflected on what the moment means to her, writing, “Growing up in Mexico, telenovelas are embedded in our culture, so I truly feel that I am honoring my country by venturing into this genre at such a legendary stage. This set has been an incredible school where I’ve learned, explored, and worked hard to become a better artist. I have the utmost respect for daytime actors. I agree with Ryan, they are some of the hardest working artists in our field.”
Escorcia also shared kind words about her predecessor. “Taking over for @marissarys is a transition I treat with great care. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her, and I can confirm she is as gracious and loving as she is talented. I have immense respect for the Ari she created, and I’m honored to carry the torch forward in this new chapter. Big shoes to fill.”
She continued, “Having the chance to work alongside incredible women like @cheriealexandra, @makeupbynataliethimm, @nicolebrennan_beauty_, @ashleypuzemis, and @judtylor has nourished me in ways I can’t begin to explain. To the fans: Thank you for the warm welcome already, and thank you for inviting me into your home. I hope you enjoy the journey we’re about to take with Ari. See you in Salem!”
The Cast Reacts to the Recast
Since then, Reyes responded in the comments, writing, “YAY!!! I adore you, beautiful angel!! I’m so glad that this shared role has brought us together. You are a force. Ari is in very good hands. I am so excited for you.”
Ashley Puzemis, who plays Holly Jonas, also showed her support, writing, “Vico you are a SUPERSTAR!!! I had the absolute pleasure of working with you and just adore you!!! Thank you for being such an outstanding addition to the show and mainly so incredible off set. Xx.” Puzemis wrote in the past tense as she has already wrapped filming earlier this year, with her on-screen exit expected early next year.
Hank Northrop, who plays Liam, Ari’s love interest, added, “YESSS VICO!!! I can’t wait for Salem audiences to see how amazingly talented, powerful, and incredible you are!!”
Meanwhile, the official Days of Our Lives Instagram page also welcomed her, commenting, “We’re excited to have you in Salem!!”
