General Hospital will be welcoming another new face to Port Charles this summer. Actor Dean Geyer has officially joined the ABC daytime drama in the contract role of Tristan Roberts, with his first appearance expected sometime in mid-July.
Geyer shared the exciting news with fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, while reposting a story about his casting.
“Thrilled to officially join the cast of @GeneralHospital as Tristan Roberts. Grateful for this new chapter. Big thanks to everyone for the love,” Geyer wrote.
The announcement quickly drew responses from fans and fellow cast members alike.
Chris McKenna Welcomes His New Co-Star
Among those reaching out was General Hospital star Chris McKenna, who currently plays Jack Brennan.
McKenna welcomed Geyer to the show. “Thank you sir!” Geyer replied.
Fans were also eager to learn when they could expect to see him onscreen. When one fan asked about his first airdate, Geyer offered a small hint while being careful not to reveal too much.
“Thank you! I don’t want to give anything away that I am not allowed to. But somewhere around the middle of July. :)” he responded.
While details about Tristan Roberts remain under wraps, viewers won’t have to wait too much longer to meet the character.
Another Busy Summer of Casting News
Geyer’s casting is just the latest in a string of recent General Hospital casting updates.
While Geyer joins the soap on contract, Kayden Brenna Tokarski has stepped into the recurring role of Scout Cain. Meanwhile, fan favorites Finola Hughes and Steve Burton have both returned to the canvas.
Hughes is back as Anna Devane, while Burton has returned from his temporary leave and resumed playing Jason Morgan.

The South African-Australian performer is a singer-songwriter, actor, and martial artist whose career has spanned reality television, soap operas, films, and primetime television.
Many fans will recognize him from his role as Brody Weston on Glee. He is also well known for playing Ty Harper on the long-running Australian soap Neighbours.
Before his acting career took off, Geyer finished in third place on Australian Idol, helping launch his music career and introducing him to audiences across Australia.
Now, he’s preparing to make his daytime television debut in Port Charles as Tristan Roberts.
