Edward J. Scott is returning to The Young and the Restless after spending 14 years over at The Bold and the Beautiful. Per Deadline, he’ll be stepping in as a senior producer at Y&R, with Josh Griffith running the show as executive producer and head writer.
Scott is a seven-time Daytime Emmy winner and has been working in the soap opera genre for nearly five decades. He kicked off his journey with the Bell family and Bell-Phillip Television Productions way back in 1976 as an associate producer for The Young and the Restless. Scott quickly climbed the ladder and was promoted to the position of executive producer until 2007. He also served at Days of Our Lives as a co-executive producer before heading back to CBS, working on B&B until 2024.
In June of 2024, Edward J. Scott and his wife, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman, The Young and the Restless) received the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award together.
