Willow and Lulu Clash

On today’s episode of General Hospital, Willow confronts Lulu. She calls it pretty low that Lulu wrote the article, though she notes this wouldn’t be the first time Lulu fabricated a story.
Lulu points out that she tried reaching Willow, but to no avail. Willow makes it clear she has nothing to say to her.

“I think my libel suit speaks for itself,” she says.
Lulu assures her that everything she printed was true and aligns with Sidwell’s statement. Because of that, she wants Willow to drop the lawsuit. Willow agrees, but only on one condition: Lulu must issue a full retraction.
Lulu warns her that very few libel suits succeed. She adds that because Willow is a congresswoman, she is held to a higher standard. Even so, Willow is confident the case won’t be as hard to win as Lulu thinks.
Lulu counters that if this goes to trial, sensitive questions could arise, and there is no telling what evidence might turn up. In response, Willow warns Lulu that the article damaged her reputation, and she is not afraid to do the exact same thing to her.
Just then, Joe arrives wanting to talk to Willow. She asks if the PCPD is finally ready to help her handle her mother.
“I’m afraid not,” Joe says.
Instead, he explains that he wants to talk about the disappearance of Jack Brennan. Willow warns him that she cannot speak without her lawyer present. She turns to Lulu, blaming her for the police involvement. Furthermore, Willow warns that when it comes time to sue for damages, she will be adding another zero to the amount.
After she leaves, Joe tells Lulu that it seems the PCPD will have to take a closer look into Brennan’s disappearance.
Chase Confides in Hudson and Mac

Meanwhile, Hudson runs into Chase at the gym, and the two talk about Phoebe. Hudson tells Chase he is very lucky to have her in his life. He also mentions hearing that Brook Lynn and Chase are separating.
Chase reflects on the situation. He notes that Phoebe was the gift they needed. From the start, he felt like she belonged to him and no one else. Adopting her was the best decision he and his wife ever made. They planned on raising Phoebe together, and because they were so happy for a while, he never expected things to blow up.
Hudson gently reminds him that life is full of surprises.
Later, Mac arrives and meets Hudson, who steps away so Chase and Mac can talk. Mac mentions hearing that Chase is going through some personal struggles and asks if he is doing okay. Chase quips that the PCPD clearly can’t keep things quiet.

Mac clarifies that isn’t what this is about. Instead, he admits he is surprised Chase didn’t sign up for the next detectives exam, given how good he was at the job.
“I would really like to see you get your shield back,” Mac tells him.
Chase explains that being a detective has become a bit more complicated for him lately.
Baines Lays Down the Law with Joss

Elsewhere, Joss goes to see Baines. He asks if she knows the WSB penalty for defying a direct order. Joss confirms she knows she could be stripped of her position.
Baines adds that she could also serve a two-year sentence in Steinmauer. Joss assures him she didn’t defy orders.
“Who will run JJE for you?” she asks, pointing out that if he sends her away, no one will be left to manage the company.

She claims she was only acting in the business’s best interest. Baines gives her the okay to continue her cover, but he warns that if she persists, she will pay the price.
He then pivots to Jack Brennan, and asks if Joss has any information that could help find him. Joss asks about the paralytic and whether Lulu’s article is true. Baines notes that the WSB plans to issue a statement soon. However, he adds that the situation warrants further investigation—specifically into Congresswoman Willow Tait.
Monet and Curtis Plan Their Next Move

At the hospital, Monet checks in on Curtis. She admits she hasn’t filed his appeal just yet, leading him to ask if she is having second thoughts. He admits he is terrified of going back to prison with no hope of release.
Monet reassures him and suggests setting up an interview to frame him as a hero—specifically focusing on how he saved Sidwell’s life.
Since Jordan is now the CEO of Aurora Media, Monet offers to call her with the exclusive. Curtis doesn’t think that’s a good idea, explaining that Jordan is out of town and needs to focus on herself.
Monet then suggests calling Michael, but Curtis reveals Michael is actually out of town with Jordan.

Monet emphasizes that they need someone with real clout. To that end, Curtis suggests Drew Cain, noting that Drew promised to help in any way he could. Monet promises that Drew will be fully on board by the time she leaves his office.
Even so, Curtis leaves her with a warning: Drew can turn against you in an instant.
Monet assures Curtis that she will not let Drew screw them over. Just then, Willow arrives and meets Monet.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Congresswoman,” Monet says.
Willow mentions a successful appeal, but she reveals that she did everything she could; the governor is simply not taking her call. Because of that, Curtis’ transfer to SpringRidge is likely not happening.
Monet chimes in, noting that the governor is probably aware of the article in The Invader. In fact, Monet asks Willow to back off, explaining that she doesn’t think it is a good idea to keep helping anymore.
Sonny and Ric Target Hudson

Over at Sonny’s, Ric stops by to chat. Sonny asks his brother for updates on Hudson. Ric doesn’t have much yet, but he is working on it. He asks if Sonny is trying to protect his own interests or if he is trying to bring down Josslyn as well.
Sonny explains that he has no plans to touch Josslyn since she is his former stepdaughter. Her company, however, is a different story, and he plans to neutralize her right-hand man.
“How far are you willing to go?” Ric asks.

Ric suggests paying Hudson off, but Sonny admits he isn’t opposed to a little blackmail. They figure squeezing Hudson might cause him to walk away on his own. Still, Sonny doesn’t want to make a move until they know exactly who they are dealing with. He wants to find out where Hudson is from, who his family is, and what his Achilles’ heel is.
Ric, Joss, and Hudson Clash
Later, Ric heads to the gym and tells Hudson he has to leave because the gym belongs to Sonny. Ric promises to refund Hudson’s money and remove him.
Joss walks in and confronts Ric, while Hudson insists he isn’t leaving. Ric tells Joss they all know what this is really about, calling her vendetta against her former stepfather the height of hypocrisy.
After Ric leaves, Hudson points out that Joss is taking advantage of her past with Sonny. Joss changes the subject. She reminds him they have a call scheduled with Sydney. To that end, Hudson heads to get changed.
Later, after seeing the clash between Ric and Joss, Mac approaches her and offers a little advice about her going after Sonny. However, Joss refuses to back down. Mac notes he tried for so long to take Sonny down and it took a toll on his family. Joss thinks she can succeed. “At what cost?” Mac asks. Meanwhile, Ric enters the locker room and places a listening chip inside Hudson’s briefcase. Ric calls Sonny and informs him that it’s done.
