Justin Hartley’s primetime show Tracker on CBS is really hitting the mark with fans, and the ratings are proof of that! But it’s also a win for his former onscreen dad, soap legend Eric Braeden, who stars as Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless. Hartley played Braeden’s on-screen son, Adam Newman, from 2014 to 2016, and even scored a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series back in 2016.
After last week’s episode aired featuring soap vet Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric, Days of Our Lives) as Russell’s onscreen brother, Hartley (Colter), Braeden took to X to sing the praises of Hartley and the show. He shared, “Watched JUSTIN HARTLEY on “TRACKER” tonight! Loved the show! No wonder the show is so damn successful! I couldn’t stop watching! Justin is a very good actor, very convincing, very strong!!he has what all AMERICAN STARS from JIMMY STEWART, JOHN Wayne, James ARNESS, etc, had, namely, a basic decency and integrity and strength! He simply is BELIEVABLE!”

Justin Hartley also struck gold as Kevin Pearson on This Is Us, sticking around from the first episode to the last. Now he’s turning up the action in Tracker, an American drama series created by Ben H. Winters, based on the 2019 novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. Hartley plays Colter Shaw, a survivalist tracker who earns his living by assisting law enforcement and private citizens in exchange for reward money.
