General Hospital Episode Recap June 8, 2023: Tracy Accuses Drew!

Sonny is waiting for Anna when she gets home. She thinks he’s there to call her a hypocrite for all the times she has criticized him for being a criminal but he tells her that he’s not. He considers her a friend and wanted to check on her. He talks to her about his experiences with having his name in the headlines because of his mob ties when Lily and Morgan died. He tells her that he’s sorry for what happened to her and that they don’t have to be defined by the worst things that they’ve done. 

Dante calls Valentin to the PCPD. He wants his help in clearing Anna’s name because he thinks that Victor planted false evidence in her file. He asks Valentin how they prove Anna’s file was doctored. 

 

Carly and Michael talk in the stairwell of GH. She wants him to tell her about Dex and if he can be trusted. Michael asks if she changed her mind about using the footage and thinks he will have to testify and Carly tells him she destroyed it because its existence was dangerous. Michael is upset but Carly insists it had to be done. She questions him more about Dex and tells him that she wants Michael to pay Dex to keep working for Sonny so they can make sure he stays out of prison.

Michael doesn’t understand so Carly explains that Jason was always able to handle everything but with him gone, there is no one to watch over Sonny so he doesn’t go down. She is worried he will make another mistake like letting Dex record him and be sent to prison which will put everyone in danger so she tells Michael they can’t let that happen. She tells him that he needs to keep Dex working for Sonny and to advise Dex on what to do to keep Sonny out of trouble. Carly admits she’s not sure about the plan but tells Michael to give Dex a choice and see what he decides. 

Joss gives Dex the smashed flash drive and tells him what it is and what her Mom did to it. Dex puts it in his pocket and she asks hi if it can be fixed. He tells her that he is going to destroy it completely so it can never be traced back to him. Joss tells him that they are out of options and their only chance is if he goes to Sonny and quits. Dex admits to her that he doesn’t want to. Joss is confused but he tells her that he doesn’t want to leave and he has no other skills so he has to keep working for Sonny, as long as she won’t break up with him for it. Joss doesn’t like it but doesn’t want to put conditions on their relationship so she accepts it.

Tracy and Drew meet by the Metrocourt pool. She asks why he wanted to meet away from the house and he tells her that blackmail works better when no one can overhear. Drew tells Tracy that he wants her to get Ned to use his connections to get the SEC to drop the investigation of him and Carly. Tracy tells him that he has no leverage against her and Drew brings up Brook Lynn working at Deception on her orders. He tells her that if she doesn’t do what he asks then he will go to Ned and rat her out for blackmailing Brook Lynn and putting her in jeopardy. 

Ned goes out to the terrace and confronts Nina about being the one who tipped off the SEC. She tries to deny it but Ned tells her what he heard. He tells her that when Sonny finds out they will be over and Nina tells him that they are engaged. Ned doesn’t think it will be for long and tells her she will be better off without Sonny. 

Nina tries to convince him to stay quiet but he tells her that he is not taking the blame for something she did. Trish interrupts to tell Nina about Tracy closing the pool area down and when Ned hears Drew is there he takes off to talk to him. Nina chases him. When Ned gets to the pool he trips over a towel and bangs his head before falling in. Tracy screams and Drew gets him out of the pool and tells her to call 9-1-1 as he starts CPR. Nina watches from a distance and leaves before anyone notices her. 

Nina goes to Sonny’s office and pours herself a drink as she waits for him. She looks at her engagement ring and remembers his proposal. When he comes in she tells him that she just wanted to see him and talks about when they first got back to Port Charles after his memory returned. She says she thought he would never forgive her but couldn’t forget how happy she was with him. Sonny tells her that they should focus on their future together.

 

Valentin goes into Anna’s house and finds her sitting on the stairs in the dark. He asks why she hasn’t been taking his calls and she tells him that she didn’t want to. He joins her on the stairs and apologizes for his father doing this to her. She is upset about everything that has happened but is most upset at the thought of her grandchildren Emma and Noah thinking less of her. She can’t stand the thought of having to tell Emma that she was a traitor. Valentin tries to convince her that Emma will understand but Anna isn’t sure she can and doesn’t think Emma will want to be like her anymore.

 

Sam goes to the PCPD looking for Dante. He tells her about wanting to clear Anna and finding out that she actually did the things she was accused of. Dante tells Sam about calling Valentin and what he told him. Dante tells her that he wouldn’t want the things he did for the WSB made public and how bad he feels for Anna. Sam tells him that he rebuilt his life and he credits Anna, his family, and her. Dante tells her how much he loves their life and they embrace.

 

Brook Lynn and Chase are having dinner at the MetroCourt and talking about his new truck. They argue about camping good-naturedly and talk about her going back to Deception. Olivia interrupts them before Brook Lynn has to get too deep into it and she invites Olivia to join them while she waits for Ned. Trish interrupts to tell Olivia about the paramedics responding to an accident at the pool. Olivia rushes up there with Brook Lynn and Chase and is horrified to find the paramedics working on Ned. Brook Lynn asks what happened and Tracy tells Chase to arrest Drew because he attacked Ned!
