General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Thursday, November 30, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Portia gives TJ some advice. Dante has questions for Ava. Dex relays a message to Sonny. James enlists Cody’s help. Sonny makes plans for Christmas Eve.
GH Recap Today
Portia meets with TJ, who seems troubled, and she encourages him to open up to her. She can sense that something is bothering him, and he admits that he might have made a huge mistake with Molly. TJ reveals that Molly wants to consider another potential surrogate, but he cannot handle that right now. He asked her to put it on hold, and he wonders if he made a mistake by doing so. He is unsure if trying again so soon is a bad idea, but Portia reassures him that it is not. She tells him that life is too short to put off joy and happiness and that time waits for no one. Portia offers to take care of the rest of his patients and suggests that he can go home. However, TJ refuses, saying that work helps. Portia wishes him good luck with everything.
Molly observes Willow playing with her daughter in the park. Willow kindly invites Molly to join them, but Molly hesitates, not wanting to intrude. Willow explains that she and Amelia were enjoying some mother-daughter bonding time and thought they would take full advantage of the day off in the park. She asks if Molly would like to hold Amelia. Molly thanks her for letting her hold Amelia. Willow says she heard from TJ about the surrogate’s miscarriage and invites Molly to talk to her anytime she needs someone to talk to. Willow discusses losing her first child and Molly asks if she considered trying again. Willow acknowledges it wasn’t an easy decision.
GH Recap Today
Maxie is happy that Felicia and Mac are willing to help her out of her financial debt. However, Maxie is still hesitant about it. Meanwhile, she needs someone to assemble a desk for her. James comes home and announces he asked Cody to help in putting Georgie’s desk together, but Maxie refuses and decides to send the desk back. Cody, however, asks if she is sure, as he would really like to show off his handyman skills. Later, James invites Maxie to come and see the desk. Felicia takes the opportunity to tell Cody that she is impressed with him and appreciates all the attention he has been giving to James. Cody says that James is a great kid.

When Maxie returns, she tells Cody that she is impressed and that Georgie is going to love it. James high-fives Cody and says that they did an awesome job. James then asks Cody to spend the night, but Maxie tells him that Cody has work to do. James feels that it’s not fair because he is the only boy, and even the turtles are girls. He wishes that Cody was his brother. Maxie says that even though Cody would be a brother, they will settle for him as a friend.
GH Recap Today
Michael asks Nina about Sonny’s whereabouts. She inquires if Willow and the kids are alright. Michael assures her that they are, but Sonny still wants to meet him. After arriving, Sonny is delighted to see them both and suggests that they should spend some time together as a family. He even invites Michael, Willow, and the kids over for Christmas Eve, and he offers to cook. Nina expresses her interest in trying Sonny’s ravioli recipe.
Sonny excuses himself to have a word with Dex who informs him that they heard back from Pikeman. Michael is skeptical of Nina’s intentions and accuses her of trying to pull a stunt. Nina denies it, causing more tension between them. Nina says she did not put Sonny up to this, he loves his family and wants to spend time with them. Later, Sonny returns and notices the tension, but Nina denies that there is any tension.

Ava arrives at Wyndemere, where Giles offer her a martini, but she declines, saying that she’s not in the mood. Ava pours herself a drink and thinks back to her conversation with Sonny, who told her about Austin’s death. Shortly after, Dante arrives in his capacity as a cop to ask her some questions. He starts by asking when she last saw Austin. Dante informs Ava that Austin has passed away and she expresses her condolences. However, he finds it strange that Ava doesn’t seem surprised about the news and suspects that she may have already known. Dante reveals that the Pautuck PD believes that the killer is in Port Charles, and since Ava knew Austin well and was kidnapped by his cousin, she may have a motive. Ava clarifies that she last saw Austin two days before Thanksgiving when he visited her Gallery.
Ava explains that the surveillance cameras installed in her gallery could prove that Austin left the place. However, she exited the gallery at midnight through the back door, and the cameras there are not functional. Dante advises her on his way out that the Pautuck Police Department will be contacting her for more questions and that she should have a lawyer with her. Later, when Ava checks her mail, she discovers a picture of a dead Austin.
Sam and Kristina arrive at the apartment with groceries. They discuss their shopping trip and Kristina notices a Westwood Academy card, learning that plans are being made for Scout to attend the school. While drinking a smoothie, Kristina reminisces about her own enjoyable time at Westwood and describes it as a great school. She asks Sam why she thinks it may not be a good fit for Scout. Sam explains that Scout is currently thriving and she doesn’t want to take her away from all of that, especially in the middle of the school year. Drew wants Scout to start attending Westwood in January, but Sam is hesitant to disrupt Scout’s current happiness. Kristina suggests that Sam simply say no, but Sam is unsure if that is the best course of action. She can tell that Drew is in a lot of pain and doesn’t want him to feel even more shut out of Scout’s life. Although Scout doesn’t want to go to Westwood, she doesn’t want to disappoint her dad. Kristina thinks that perhaps Drew is trying to make up for lost time. Sam feels that something is different about Drew, but she can’t quite put her finger on it. When Dante comes home, he tells Sam about his trip to Wyndemere. In return, she tells him that she thinks she and Drew hit their first co-parenting snag.
Later, Kristina finds a tearful Molly in the park.
