Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) finally came face-to-face in today’s episode of General Hospital on March 27th. It’s been two and a half years since they were last on screen together. And let’s just say, Sam really gave it to Jason.
When Sam initially found out that Jason was alive and might have been the one who shot Dante, she was absolutely livid. She didn’t waste a minute, revealing her feelings that if her ex-husband was responsible for shooting the man she’s in love with, she’d never forgive him. And today on General Hospital, she went straight to the PCPD to confront Jason after discovering that he had turned himself in.
Sam didn’t waste a second before asking Jason straight up if he shot Dante. Jason denied it, and of course, Sam took his word for it. But things quickly went downhill when Jason mentioned seeing Danny at the Quartermaine boathouse, where Danny helped him out with a first aid kit.
Did Sam Make the Right Decision Regarding Jason?
Sam couldn’t understand why Danny hadn’t told her about it. Jason admitted he had told Danny to keep it a secret. Sam was beyond upset that Jason had asked their son to keep secrets from her. When Jason started expressing concern for their son, Sam didn’t hold back, calling him out for being a deadbeat dad. She made it clear that she’s the one who’s been there for their son through thick and thin and that he can’t just swoop in and act like everything’s fine.
She even pointed out that, because of him, their son could eventually be brought up on federal charges. But things really exploded when she told Jason to stay away from their son and walked out. Later, after Danny’s fight with Jake, Sam had a chat with him about his father and reassured him that he never has to see his father again.
Certainly, Kelly Monaco delivered an outstanding performance in today’s scenes. Despite the scripted nature of the material, Monaco’s portrayal elevated the content to exceptional heights. Now, the question arises: did Sam make the right decision? Should she continue to keep Danny away from Jason?
